Despite a court order forbidding Kevin Ewing from contacting Tierne, and an ankle bracelet to monitor his every movement, the fatal attraction of Kevin and Tierne drew them back together yet again.

  1. There are many more abusive men than we realize. If a woman has grown up with an alcoholic or drug addicted father, if he's physically, verbally or sexually abusive, if there is domestic violence in the family or if the father is controlling, the woman is very likely to become involved with a man who will abuse her, even if she thinks he's totally different. We tend to choose based on our comfort level, which is not necessarily a good or happy place, it's simply a familiar place.

  2. Idiots someone who abuses are unwilling to give up the control: they feed on it like oxygen or food. They need to inflict pain and hurt on someone. A previous victim, they already know they can treat them that way and an abuser will not leave them alone.

  3. please i urge her to learn how to fire a gun, take classes to defend herself do anything an everything she feels she needs to make herself feel safe

  4. When will people start assuming responsilbility for their own actions? It's not the fault of the courts, police, judges, society, etc…for whatever harm comes your way. Only you can take care of yourself in the long run.

  5. I’m glad they are changing the laws! BUTT!! What did the judge see in this case that would think he wouldn’t hurt her or someone given the pictures and the records leading up to him standing before the judge???? And why is it that a judge is never held accountable for there decisions when they can clearly see that someone is or has the high potential to be violent again!! (I’m not blaming the judge because maybe we haven’t heard the entire story/case ) but makes you wonder if just one thing changed in the path of events!! 😢❤️

  6. the people who freak out about this and say "wtf how could he be let out" are the exact same people that whine about "prison population" and demand criminals be let out

  7. The system, the judge all failed this poor woman. It’s like she was fed to the lions. How with all this evidence against (IT), u would let (IT) go?!

  8. I hope that judge gets prosecuted for what he did. He allowed that monster out of jail to finish what he started. I really hope Tierne's Law really does help protect others against domestic violence and abuse. She didn't deserve to die. May her beautiful soul rest in peace. 🙏

  9. The judge needs to answer for this. As a victim advocate, I can't tell you how heart breaking it is to see how the legal system fails these victims, time and again. We need to stand up for these victims and remember those who fail them at the time of elections ✊

  10. I wonder if the law would address when a judge doesn't believe the abuser would be a risk as the judge in this case had? They said it would be part of the toolkit to determine the level of risk and whether to even allow bond. I hope this loophole isn't there still

  11. He wouldve been drinking a healthy dose of antifreeze and rat poison in whatever he was drinking, we both wouldve been loosing our lives but then again I wouldnt have stayed, my daddy n brothers wouldve killed him….my heart goes out to her family no matter, I'm sure her dad wouldve did something had he not been elderly and frail

  12. Justice system failed her. Lawyer included. She could have easily bought her a ticket to another state and made her stay in a safe house there in order to ensure her safety

  13. I'm ashamed to admit I grew up not far from here, many of the court officials are this way. Backwards and stupid. Unfeeling. There's no excuse here. Shame on the judge and her in-laws for getting him out with all this evidence. Fucking wrong.

  14. Those pics in the ER are haunting- her facial expression is not one of what you'd expect when a woman has been through such an ordeal. She looks like she has become so accustomed to this abuse that she's numb at this point and he has brainwashed her to the point where she is detached from the situation. I know she was trying to stay calm and when she walked into that bank she didn't want to make a scene so as not to alert him as he was outside. But her calm is almost disturbing. This is what years of abuse can do to a woman- she knew nothing else from the time that she was very young and had no chanced to live a good life! He's a monster!!!
