  1. How many cups does the 3rd judge need in front of her. Hoarding much? Her attitude speaks for itself she should have never been a judge. Our legal system is a joke.

  2. Just like fines are doubled in road construction areas while driving, it should be a standard that any government official (like that judge) who breaks the laws they are meant to uphold should get double fines, double the charges (a misdemeanor is automatically a felony), and double jail time! They aren't just breaking those laws, they're breaking their oath and breaking trust with the public!

  3. That drunk judge got a complete slap on the wrist and should lose her job permanently at the ABSOLUTE LEAST. 3 days in jail? really?

  4. Judge Schott shouldnt be on this list. Hes behavior was heroic. hes honestly what a judge should be. Once he recognized how corrupt the Prosecutor was being, he let the defendant go free.

  5. I've been working in the Southern California criminal defense community for years. Some of the stuff here us tame compared to what we see in Orange County, where alcohol is a problem with judges…

Indeed, the stuff we see from drunk OC judges is wild! Some years ago, a judge in Orange County (Scott Steiner) was disciplined for having relations in chambers. Another judge (Ronald Kline) was busted by the federal government for having inappropriate photos of kids in chambers. Both blamed alcohol. And last year, an OC judge (Jeffrey Ferguson) got drunk and shot his wife to death. He's currently being prosecuted for murder.

In most cases, a crime isn't committed by a judge. Usually, a judge just gets drunk and screws up a ruling. There are even videos of proceedings in Orange County where judges are visibly intoxicated on the bench.

I have one of those videos on my YouTube page. The video is of Judge Kimberly Knill, and she was presiding over a case in which one of the paralegals I work with was a party. Judge Knill's speech was slurred throughout the hearing. She started having hiccups and belching. She was so drunk that she ended up ruling a 15-day notice period was somehow met between January 20th and 31st.

We like to think that the judiciary consists of disciplined and intellectual judges. That's not the case in Orange County…
