U.S. Solider Tried Hiring Hitman to Murder His Mother’s Killer: Cops – Everything Law and Order Blog

Twenty-two-year-old National Guardsman, Rhett Barlow, is accused of orchestrating an ill-fated murder-for-hire plot to kill the man responsible for his mother’s death. Barlow’s mother was killed in a car crash in 2016 when Donald Caulder Jr. crashed into her minivan. In November, Barlow allegedly sought out a hitman to kill Caulder and purchased an AR-15, among other weapons. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie explains how Barlow got caught and what’s next for his case.

  1. He only got 12 months?! And of probation?! He wasn't doing his job right, he had it comin, the dark web was the first time I saw someone commit… and also saw people murder others, and I couldn't stop watching until I trapped myself in a mind of almost wanting to do it just from watching it, I've never been on it since. Its a dark place

  2. I'm sure dad warned his son tirelessly about letting vengeance and hatred consume him. This now grown man wasn't the only one who lost a loved one that night. And y'all are seriously sympathizing with someone who couldn't bring himself to carry out his own vengeance. He wants to be able to pin an actual murder on someone eles given the opportunity. He is absolutely worse and don't get on his bad side. This wasn't about his mothers honor, this was solely about him.

  3. Vengeance and violence is never the answer people! Geez 🙄 no matter what happened in court before! There’s more to that case! Lack of solid evidence maybe! Was it a faulty truck??? Did she walk out in front of the driver? It was an accident I read!!! Stop the murderous mentality in this society!
To get vengeance is murder! Nobody should do that! It’s life in prison! Seek help of psyche doctor instead!

  4. The dad was forgiving and spoke for everyone…the son and daughter are humans too and if their ideologies align, cool..but I’m not surprised one bit that one persons thoughts were different. Not everyone is so forgiving , also there was basically no punishment… gotta make a person feel some type of way…lost his mother

  5. There was a case ago in which 3 brothers killed someone's mother in front of everyone else but as 1 of the brothers worked in the government nothing happened to them The victim's son waited 20 years and returned to his homeland to do justice and killed 2 of the killers, then and before surrendering he went to his mother's grave to tell her that he had done justice. The result: the death penalty and he died 1 year after being imprisoned. These cases are very sad because it stirs emotions, feelings.

  6. It’s not like he did it on purpose, but I understand, the sick people in the comments are saying he murdered her, murder is intent to kill.. this was an accident and that’s so sad
