I understand Cains anger but he put everyone on the roads life at risk too. Stray bullets and risky driving he could have taken away someones kid, mother, father ,brother, sister etc. IMO he's lucky hes only getting 5 years because the judge was understanding about the circumstances that caused his anger. Just cause your familys been hurt doesn't give your the right to put dozens of other peoples family at risk
If he just went after the dude when he was alone on foot and didn't risk anyones saftey i'd be fully on his side but this was just reckless
I don’t think he should’ve gotten five years because it’s a crime of passion and if the people think that some kind of sentence should’ve been on him then I would say house arrest with an ankle monitor.

Myself being a survivor of childhood SA & having my own children I can completely understand what Cain did!! Maybe if more fathers went after these sick, sadistic monsters they would think twice about hurting somebody’s child!! I understand he put others in harm’s way but he definitely doesn’t deserve 5 yrs!!! I don’t feel he should have to serve anything, maybe mandatory angry management classes & to see a psychiatrist for a yr but that’s it!!!

It’s sad how John o’keefe has taken a backseat in this circus. Free Cain!! I understand he “acted out with emotion and I’ll be damned if anyone says they could have handled it better.. but.. risking going to jail and NOT being there to protect your kid is the consequence. However this predator deserves more of a punishment than a protective father. And I pray he gets time. GOOD OL CALIFORNIA.. sick sick sick. My children have never seen the inside of a daycare and never will. You put your child in someone else’s hands and care that’s a risk you take. Why in the world does his child NEED to be in daycare?

Josh, I'm curious why a crime of passion defense isn't applicable in the Cain Velasquez case or others like it.
The car chase itself shows impulsivity.
Being a survivor of child s a myself, I was hyper vigilant in my own kid's protection because I KNEW the life changing aftermath of such deeds. I would have absolutely deleted someone had they done anything like that to one of my children. It's also why I feel so strongly in defense of him. It makes me wonder if Velasquez didn't also endure such things himself as a child. If so, would that be something he could use as a defense?

I can’t understand why people don’t understand when you are a jury. You have three options guilty not guilty and jury notification jury notification is when you agree with what that American citizen did, but he will not be charged with a crime and he does not owe the state the federal government or the person he targeted anything because a jury of his peers agreed that he did the right thing which is illegal verdict but the American government has made it a point to erase that option out of our history, but it is legally still there. We just can’t openly talk about it.
