  1. If you resign while being investigated or embroiled in an allegation, your pension should be suspended until your name is cleared and the criminal investigation should continue. Totally Zany that this dude could have such wide ranging and troubling fraud and find employment elsewhere almost immediately.

  2. What part of the casino thing makes it theft? is it because it's private property? Also, I would expect to be able to trust a cop to turn in money. Especially a captain who served for 29 years.

  3. The law should apply to all, these thugs are allowed to resign with all benefits. You roll through a stop sign miss court you will be arrested. Yet your EMPLOYEE is permitted to resign with a parachute!!!

  4. Cops steal money all the time, it's called asset forfeiture, like a guy who had his savings in cash in his car and cops pull him over and even though he showed receipts from the bank on his withdrawls, they still stole his money and never gave it back even though he kept filing to request it…cops do this all the time when people are carrying alot of cash when traveling.

  5. I feel like the guy that was putting cameras in women’s bathroom at the police academy did get served justice, it ultimately ended in his death resulting in someone like that to never be around again, it’s pretty sick to put cameras in your fellow co workers bathrooms especially if you’re a male and they ended up in a female bathroom, he just didn’t get served charges, he got served death

  6. Shouldn't have "internal investigations" they should be 3rd party civilian investigations, not able to retire, suspension without pay, no option to retire either until civil investigation is concluded, my opinion.

  7. When a police officer is convicted of official corruption charges, they should lose all access to that pension. This will be a HUGE motivating factor the police will indeed recognize..

  8. Sadly, the most honest, most clean, and most professional law enforcement officers in West Virginia are the WV state troopers. What does this say about all the rest of the law enforcement officers and deputies? Not good. No, not good at all. I have yet to meet any local law enforcement officers or sheriff departments deputies and sheriffs in West Virginia that are clean. None. In my opinion. End qualified immunity.

  9. “Professional courtesy” is the nearly universal form of law enforcement corruption. Most cops believe their most important duty is to protect themselves and each other. That absolutely includes protection from justice.

  10. Here in Québec, we have created the Independant bureau of investigation…
That is a unit of non-law enforcement officer investigating facts when there's shooting or any other force used by police officer…..
Please note the following: Police officers are expected of high integrity
Since the creation of this unit, how many police officers has made depositions, answered their questions, collaborated with them?

    NONE!

This is how justice works in a democratic state of law!

No better than Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan just to name a few!!!!
