Kouri Richins’ legal team filed a motion to withdraw from her case in May, citing a possible conflict of interest. Richins was assigned new attorneys, who told the judge last week that they would be ready for a rescheduled preliminary hearing in August. I have no doubt that the defense attorney refused to use the proper tool as a defense strategy. They know what they should be doing. If not, they are not qualified and are violating the ethics of competency. This is a bad faith motion.
