  1. How this woman talks about sex crimes… Saying good or bad… It’s never good. Never. I don’t care if it is helping your career go through the roof. It’s never good. She used a prosecutor and now she is a defense attorney….. In the whole thing about coerced confessions… I don’t care if the cops had me in interrogation for 72 hours with no food or water. I’m not going to admit to murder when I didn’t actually murder somebody. That is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard

  2. 1. r@pe allegations will ruin a (normal) man's life whether he's found guilty or not and women need to think "was this legit a violent and against my will act or am I just regretting letting this person have sex with me?" and "what if this was my brother or father being accused?" 2. if these ppl weren't all famous or semi famous, he would've probably got a a year or two, of course put on the registry and a few years probation and that's a fact. I believe he was upfront about what kind of favor he expected for a favor and most of them definitely knew what he expected and went anyway because they wanted a certain movie role or higher pay. What I want is to see these women show up at regular women's trials and advocate for them.. I haven't heard anything else about the whole me too movement and it was never about women as a whole and was only about these few women and the men they had a vendetta against in my opinion because I never seen them care about any other women just that little clique they created.

  3. Thank you Joshua and Florina for another thought provoking and informative podcast episode. I always learn something new from your discussions with the guests that you have on this podcast, as well as the cases that you discuss.

  4. You don’t need to specify what their job was, they were human beings, they were daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, friends. That “detail” makes you look like you are implicitly saying “they were murder because (or but they were sex workers”. Let’s get rid of the misogynistic language and the wrong concept that value of people is linked to your social status.

  5. I often wonder how often a defendant can win a new trial on appeal due to their own election to take the stand in their own defense and claim that their own testimony led to their conviction, Josh? Jody Arias absolutely comes to mind here (not that she did receive a re-trial thank goodness and to the absolute relief of Juan Martinez !!) Jim C.

  6. Geez people..sigh… why does he bring up the five. They were all guilty,🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I miss someone smart from fucking Alaska please be quiet, OMG this is bad bad bad.

  7. Hey guys, one question – when the jury comes and tells the judge they're hung, does the judge know (needs to be told) what direction their deliberation is going? Like the ratio 8-2 for not guilty etc.?

  8. As a woman, and a mother, I really need to hear some personal story, explaining why any woman chooses to defend the absolute worst of society, for her entire profession. What possesses a woman to choose that for herself? What mitigating factors could there be, which allow me to look upon you, with anything other than utter disgust and profound disappointment at the depth and breadth of their betrayal. Make it make sense for me.

  9. Dear Person That's Reading This You May Be Goin Through Something But God Got U What You He Didn’t Bring You This Far To Quit.We all Don’t Know Each Other But I Wish U All The Best In Life 2022 And Beyond.🇧🇸❤️~Marcia~

  10. Absolute pleasure to listen to Mrs. Altshiler answer your questions on the cases discussed in this one…brilliant…thank you Mr. Ritter…a very very interesting and fascinating episode…Looking forward to seeing this amazing lady back on your show. Thank you.

  11. Joshua – I am so happy that Florina joined you this week. I was curious about wether or not the Prosecution would retry Danny Masterson. It seems unlikely they would get a conviction based on the age of the accusations alone. My heart goes out to the victims but, I have to say having the Church of Scientology involved just adds a barrier to obtain the truth. I really wish that case had been televised. Thank you both for a great side bar.
