Famed sex therapist Amie Harwick was found outside of her Hollywood Hills home struggling to hold onto life after allegedly being thrown off of a third-story balcony in 2020. Harwick died at a hospital shortly after the fall from blunt force injuries to her head and torso, along with evidence of strangulation. Authorities quickly zeroed in on her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, who had previous restraining orders filed against him by Harwick and was described as a “stalker” by many of the doctor’s friends. Pursehouse now faces trial in a California courtroom for Harwick’s murder.
Pursehouse’s defense said the defendant admitted to breaking into Harwick’s home but did not murder her. They are seeking a not guilty verdict on the murder charge and asking for a lesser charge.

What is so heartbreaking about this is that if the Defendant had simply broken in, attempted to kill her but her housemate was able to scare him away BEFORE actually killing her, police would have only been able to charge him with a slap on the wrist and issued Amie with a restraining or no contact order and he could have walked as a free man. Instead, it takes murdering this beautiful soul to actually end in a solid, justified prison term. R.I.P Amie, I’m sorry you are another statistic of gender violence but YOU and your story will never be forgotten. 🙏💜
He only broke into her house to talk to her…….
The defense lawyer must have hated Gareth.
Judgement fulfilled by Gareth receiving the worst defense lawyers possible.
Since he knew she’d obviously rat him out for B&E after “talking to him,” then why’d he try to hide his visage from the cameras? That act alone destroys his whole silly defense. 🤷♂️
Please tell me that’s a public defender. 😮💨😣🤦♂️ What a wreck!
This doesn't even lo9k like the same guy.
3:34–3:44
What was all that about?? 🤔🤔
I bet he was a nightmare to take supermarket shopping as a child. Probably had tantrums on the floor if he didn't get what he wanted.
Man would i love to heard those side bars
like father like son, apparently his father stalking his ex and also had a restraining order on him. This guy is a narcissist, it's all about poor me, I am innocent. He could not handle being rejected, so he killed her.
The roommate didn’t just“lose” his phone. Creepy Handbag-Dwelling likely took it. That’s what I think anyway. He had to get the roommate out of there. That’s just imho.
I had to change my number because a guy I dated for three weeks in 2017 decided to force his way back into my life. I’d block him, he’d use Google Voice and contact me again. I contacted the police and they said there was nothing they could do. Then he started showing up across the street from my office, just hanging around outside of a store. Then I saw him walking by my apartment. All public spaces, so according to the cops, there was nothing they could do unless he physically assaulted me. Why is the law like this????
So the opening from defense is cringe worthy but reaches an all time low when he says “she had a certain comfort level with the balcony railing”.
Where are his parents. What was he like growing up. Does he have siblings ?
The judges face when defense did their opening lol 😂
It’s disrespectful to call her Aimee purse house OVER AND OVER defense. Come on now
Summary: 6 foot something 200 lbs plus dude couldn't handle a rejection and so he kills his ex and b!tched about it in court.
57:20 his own defense lawyer says he broke in and had a fight with the deceased… good job Mister defense lawyer.
Sometimes I just skip the opening statements for both parties! Most times they're boring and all over the place! Plus if it's just a preview/summary of the evidence that they will prove during the trial so it's kinda pointless to me! 😵💫😩
Do y'all have a syringe filled with nicotine in your kitchen drawer? Because the defense makes it sound like that's completely normal in the US.
