Famed sex therapist Amie Harwick was found outside of her Hollywood Hills home struggling to hold onto life after allegedly being thrown off of a third-story balcony in 2020. Harwick died at a hospital shortly after the fall from blunt force injuries to her head and torso, along with evidence of strangulation. Authorities quickly zeroed in on her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, who had previous restraining orders filed against him by Harwick and was described as a “stalker” by many of the doctor’s friends. Pursehouse now faces trial in a California courtroom for Harwick’s murder.
Pursehouse’s defense said the defendant admitted to breaking into Harwick’s home but did not murder her. They are seeking a not guilty verdict on the murder charge and asking for a lesser charge.

It seems like the defense is so desperate they are going after non crucial witnesses and trying to discredit them by focusing on one question/answer that in the end doesn't really matter. They want to recall a witness that was such a small part of the story, so their defense is to attack and make winesses feel uncomfortable and nervous.

i feel so sorry for her that we are even living in a reality where this happened is heartbreaking. it shouldn’t be true and this shouldn’t be real but sadly it is. she deserved better. she never should have been the victim of someone so weak and small as a person. we need to do better by women in our society in many ways including making sure threats are taken very seriously right away. people who are victims of stalking DV relationship violence and threats should have security provided to them – law enforcement should provide surveillance, security systems including cameras and extra locks when someone proves they have credible reason to believe they are at risk of being attacked or murdered. most people who die from intimate partner violence realize they are at risk and live in fear. we can’t allow their fears to keep coming true.

The defense lawyer admitted Gareth broke into her apartment and admitted having a fight with her, WTF … the judge even looked up in shock, terrible defense lawyer and I don't see why this is even a trial when the defense lawyer flat-out admits that in the opening statement. .
