Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is set to face off with a retired doctor in a civil trial starting March 21 over a ski crash in February 2016. Plaintiff Terry Sanderson alleges the famed actress’ skiing was “out of control” when the two collided at Deer Valley Resort seven years ago. Paltrow fired back, countersuing Sanderson for one dollar, claiming his recollection of events was incorrect and that he crashed into her. Damage amount: A judge rejected Sanderson’s initial lawsuit against Paltrow for damages in excess of $3.1 million, alleging that the incident qualified as a hit-and-run. In his updated complaint, Sanderson claims Paltrow was reckless in causing his injuries and is now asking “for more than $300,000.” In an amended filing, the plaintiff requested in excess of $300,000 but in openings, reiterated the claim for $3 million.

If I hear “I’m just a simple country lawyer” again I’m going to scream. Any folksy humility Mr. Sykes was trying to imply he possessed evaporated the 3rd or 4th time he said it. And his combativeness while cross examining the two female neuropsychologists screams desperation – his case has been systematically dismantled by the defense experts.
Somebody give this guy some water and a cough drop. I like to fall asleep to court hearings, but hearing him yak one up is disturbing.

I feel sorry for Sanderson. I think the verdict was correct but this man makes me feel sad. He is losing his life of fun and activity and privilege and is watching it disappear as many with dementia. I wonder how much he has to pay for his lawyers. He made a terrible mistake suing. Owens is crucifying him and I hate seeing that but I'm glad Gwyneth won.
Mr. Sanderson can't ski any more, and he had a long and painful recovery. There can be little doubt that the collision sent him into a major depressive episode. I'm not convinced on the question of who was at fault. but I've seen nothing that convinces me Mr. Sanderson's medical issues were not severely impacted by the collision. The images are useless, as Mr. Sanderson's damage doesn't necessarily show up in the scans.

She didn’t look truthful on the stand at all. I think this doctor was telling the truth. He’s not exactly a poor person trying to get a cash grab, he’s well off compared to most. I think gwenyth won simply because celebrity status is powerful and people get star struck

Outstanding Chief Justice! Great Attorneys from both sides. The female Attorney for the plaintiff, was dangerous and very wise, whoever payed attention to her words, when she said, she would feel mad as well if a man would suddenly appear behind her. I think that she said a lot with her statement. Defense attorney Steve Owens and his colleague were fenomenal. My great respect for the attorneys; you gotta be creative every time there’s an objection, and a sustained coming from the judge.
In a nutshell, Terry is arrogant, neurotic, a pathological liar and a hypochondriac. IMO
After hearing this Doctor's credentials, I feel like an underachiever.
Looks like the majority of Law and Crime viewers per the survey (85%) were right. I'm glad it turned out this way because you never know with juries.
