WATCH LIVE: Gwyneth Paltrow Ski Crash Trial — Sanderson v. Paltrow — Day Six

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is set to face off with a retired doctor in a civil trial starting March 21 over a ski crash in February 2016. Plaintiff Terry Sanderson alleges the famed actress’ skiing was “out of control” when the two collided at Deer Valley Resort seven years ago. Paltrow fired back, countersuing Sanderson for one dollar, claiming his recollection of events was incorrect and that he crashed into her. Damage amount: A judge rejected Sanderson’s initial lawsuit against Paltrow for damages in excess of $3.1 million, alleging that the incident qualified as a hit-and-run. In his updated complaint, Sanderson claims Paltrow was reckless in causing his injuries and is now asking “for more than $300,000.” In an amended filing, the plaintiff requested in excess of $300,000 but in openings, reiterated the claim for $3 million.

    Boom – Dr. Scher just put the final nail in Mr. Sanderson’s coffin IMO. The weak cross examination just strengthened Ms. Paltrow’s defense. It will be very telling whether or not plaintiff’s counsel brings back Dr. Boehm to defend his debunked calculations.

    Can you IMAGINE being Gwyneth Paltrow – sitting in court – watching these lawyers act out depositions! She must feel like she's slipped into the frickin Twilight Zone!

    I can't believe Sanderson's own lawyer ended up basically discrediting his own witness by saying Ramon doesn't know what he saw it all happened in a split second hahaha

    Seems like someone on the defense team would have emphasized that Gwyneth was skiing at Moses’ speed. Moses was pizza skiing and would have been going rather slowly compared to a more advanced skier like Sanderson. Also, I find it unlikely, that someone would be trying to get their mother’s attention while actively skiing downhill with Papa Bear Ski Instructor right behind him.

    I've watched quite a few different trials and laugh when an overpaid lawyer asks an expert: "You're getting paid for this, right? How much?"

    I want them to respond "Probably not as much as you're charging your client…"
