Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital was found liable for the death of Beata Kowalski, the mother of Maya Kowalski, who was the subject of Netflix’s “Take Cara of Maya” documentary. Beata took her own life after the hospital and its staff filed a report that she was abusing Maya — which ended up forbidding her to see her young child. The Kowalski family was awarded $261 million in damages. Attorneys for the hospital have since filed several appeals demanding a new trial claiming there was alleged misconduct among jurors.

The reason i wont do jury duty . Jurors are anonymous for a reason . If they cant promise me my privacy or annanimity i refuse to do jury duty
Shapiro is an awlawful lawyer he is relying on what reddit post said and also the fact thst asca lawyer its unethical to behave in the manner of digging for dirt but he has done just that. He mr.shapiro went on facebook and checked out mayas friends posts to get the prom photo of her that she never posted on her own facebook he went and surveyed or stalked mayas FRIENDS facebook very unethical in my eyes. Just as sneaky as the hospital he represents
WTF Beata killed herself over the photo taking… The plantiffs are reaching. There is no evidence. They didn't need her permission, they got DFS permission. This verdict needs to get overturned. It was a sympathy verdict. The evidence doesn't support the verdict.

Excuse me Mr defense atty: didn’t you have an opportunity to cross examine the gentleman who provided the damages testimony during trial if you felt they were excessive? You certainly didn’t whine about them as you are now, huh? Sounds to me like you’re re-trying your case before the Judge when you had you your day in court already!
This will set a new precedent for jurors, not only , not to want to be a juror but it will also take away their power of determining awards. All lawyers now will contest awards they disagree with if nothing else just to tie the award up…… sad day in our justice system if Defense wins this for all, not just the Kowalski’s

This is preposterous. So now the Court has to sequester not only the jurors but, the spouses and interview those in the galley daily???? All this posturing is after the jury has made their final decision, of course. Defense isn’t satisfied with filing an appeal they have to drag everyone through the mud!!!!
