John Spira (nicknamed Chicago Johnny), the lead guitarist in the band The Rabble Rouser, went missing in 2007. His sister Stephanie McNeil suspected that John’s wife Suzanne Spira knew something about what happened to him. They decided to split after 15 years together but were living in the same house during the divorce. John had a girlfriend during the breakup. Suzanne died in 2016.

Detectives know very well who killed John. It will forever be in their hearts and will always anger them…
This is DuPage County, Illinois.
They just never had enough substantial circumstantial evidence and with no body particularly they just can’t file charges and prosecute the perpetrators.
Prosecutors/state’s attorney simply will not proceed.
We all know how this works.

"shit-cago johnny" ?
I live in the area where he disappeared. I would see his missing poster. I pray his family gets justice for john.
It's obvious what has happened. I think John was having a business rivalry with some other guy so he wanted to kill John and he did. Yeah it's a man. Initially I thought John's wife could be involved because of their divorce battle but maybe that's not the case. It could also be a disgruntled employee, large industrial plastic was missing at the same time John was missing so they are related. As the family have said, two of their banners have been torn down and just after the 2nd one was torn down his business was also burnt to the ground, they're both related issues. I am annoyed with the mistakes the police made in this case, they didn't work as hard as they could've done at the start and the start when someone is missing is the crucial time in a case. Then they wasted effort, resources and time looking into John willingly vanishing which is ridiculous. He is buried under the ground somewhere, at the time it was very snowy so the killer would've found it easy to hide John's body.
Since first watching the episode of ID's Disappeared which delves into the disappearance (and almost certainly murder) of John Spira, I've felt saddened, perplexed, stupefied & frightened by the details (as well as the lack of traction & answers). I pray that John & his family receive answers, though I suspect it isn't so likely (since that ex-wife died & his place of business burned down). Many people & their disappearances have irked me & tugged at my heart, but there are about a dozen which really have stayed with me. John Spira's case is one of those that just lingers on my heart.
It seems as if someone wants no leads to progress in the investigation. I don´t know why with so many evidences, John's "partner" Dave Stubben has never ever been indicted.
Is it possible that someone at the Sheriff Office will be hindering the investigation? Or is it that they are so much inept that they lack of wisdom, sharpness and ability to grab important clues for going in the right direction?
I's incredible to see that the Sheriff Office is behaving as it happens in a third world country.
John seems like a pretty cool guy
that sucks
Sister looks like Barbra Streisand
when they talk about the one that died, they are always seem to be exelnt human beings and very nice people.
So where'd they bury him.
I've lived in Chicago my entire life, I've never heard of this guy nor recall seeing it on the news.
2:59 background dramatic music when murder is mentioned.
