  1. Details/Lawsuit: https://thecivilrightslawyer.com/2025/01/20/when-cops-stop-the-wrong-black-man/
Derrick House was returning home from a trip to Costco, headed to make dinner with his family. An unmarked car comes speeding up from behind him, suddenly blocking him in. Cops jump out and start pointing their pistols at him, threatening to shoot him in the face. What did he do wrong? Apparently he was just a black male driving a Volkswagen. Even though it was the wrong make, color (and license plate number) the cops figured it was close enough.

  2. Makes my blood boil. Psychopaths the lot of them, acting like real terrorists. Why are they always treating innocent civilians like something they just stepped in of the street? Trying to terrorise and brutalise and hurt people like psychopaths. Some kind of accountability is needed I am sick of the disrespect of decent normal law abiding citizens. They work for us not against us! This needs to be made clear to them now!

  3. Incredibly dangerous, incompetent, and unprofessional. The term "officer" should be retired until there is a nationwide effort to earn back that level of lost respect.

  4. You can hear at 7:01 the lazy arsse cops say when he is told it is the wrong car "Yes it is it is CN" meaning that was the extent of is licence plate check the letter & not the numbers most likely because that is the extent of his memory – 2 items. Also he needs to be removed as a cop as he is colour blind or mental disorder as he can't see the difference between black & silver. It was clearly a case of 'Act now & investigate later' as he acted on a partial car ID, right make but wrong model & partial plate ID, right letters but wrong numbers.

  5. The whole " felony" stop os 100% bs. The cops should never be able to run down on a person like this unless it is a hot pursuit involving a firearm. It seem officer are relying on their technology way to much then are to lazy to take i few extra seconds to manually check of the AI was correct.

  6. They shout conflicting orders. Hands up and roll the windows down. How can you do both? While appreciate they have a hard job, this was disgusting. Wrong color car, wrong license plate number. Do this before not after you have threatened to kill someone. Let's not talk about the gaslighting.

  7. Decades ago the county cops in Delaware tried to stop me as I was on my way home from work at 1am. The thing is I was listening to them on my scanner. They were looking for a green ford pinto. I was driving a tan Dodge Aspen but as I passed a cop going the other way he called out that he had the suspect and described my car. I had no warrants or anything but I was not interested in getting guns aimed at me and being interrogated and possibly having my employer fire me because I was wearing my company uniform after a shift as a (unarmed) security guard. In fact thinking back, I'm sure the cops would assume I was armed.
I was almost home and made my turns and parked about the time the the cops said "I lost him" on the radio. Yeah buddy, you lost the wrong car that didn't match the description 🤬

I hope the victim in this video wins, but as others have said the problem is not just random bad cops.

  8. The same exact thing happened to me in New York. The cops had a partial plate match and same make on a car involved in a robbery at a gas station. We were forced at the car at gunpoint and they had us crawling to them in the rain.

Even though I provided proof I was nowhere near the gas station at the time of the shooting, they searched my car, threw everything on the side of the road, then had me and my cousin put everything back in the car.

We were then both questioned and forced to sign affidavit on our whereabouts the day before. We were told if we did not provide an affidavit we would be arrested and held for the maximum amount of time the law allows which they claimed was 72 hours.

Every lawyer I spoke to told me this was all legal because they had a partial plate match, so they could argue probable cause.

  9. Thugs always think they get to take more of your time to explain their incompetence to you.
    "Look at me…."
"Look at yourself a-hole. I don't need your explanation. I need your name and badge number."
