He sniffed out the life of his Murdered Wife who was, at the time of her Murder, younger than he is Now.

8. The judge was allegedly intoxicated to a high degree, and his son lived with them and was a witness. The judge had 47 guns and over 2k rounds of ammunition in the house. I believe alcohol consumption is a mitigating factor, and not usually in favor of the defendant.

9. You can bet your sweet bottom dollar the insurance company paying out the 5 Mil had a lot to do with supporting the prosecution. As a matter of fact, in California, the Insurance companies were an intergal part in creating and funding the State's Insurance Fraud Investigation unit. So their was a lot of money on the line and investigators were not going to stop without exhausting every avenue of prosecution including the federal government.

15. I agree that there should have been a retrial in the case of Thomas Randolph. The so called prior bad acts was introduced as misleading. Thomas Randolph was ACQUITTED of his wife's murder so therefore it is NOT a prior bad act and should have never been used as such. The 2 wives were killed in 2 different ways. I can see if it was the exact same way like poison with antifreeze or a fall down the staircase 20 years after the neighbor fell down the same staircase.
    I do not understand why you (in the comments) think the Justice System is wrong when we all rely on it when it is right and Justice is served.

16. I’m from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and I watch a lot of American murder trials. 75% of the cases are about a married couple. They carry guns for ‘self defense’ and it always involves life-insurance. The man or the woman has an affair. They want to get rid of their spouse and get the life-insurance. Guns and life-insurances. And they still think they can get away with it. ‘It was self-defense, your Honor. Get rid of the weapons and life-insurances. Problem solved. This so-called self-defense is always abused by greedy people. Greed makes them kill. And it’s easy. Almost every American has an arsenal of weapons. Like there’s a civil war going on in the States. It’s so primitive. Just get a divorce like the rest of the world.

20. Used to be, judges could be trusted. Our SCOTUS has ruined that. And other state supreme court's, like South Carolina are following their example. Judges just can not be trusted anymore.

22. I am personally offended that the appellate court gave this defendent a re-trial. All these dead wives. How long until he files an appeal this time? These two are defense attorneys and they don't know Africa, is a continant, not a country

24. Love Michael's admission that he's not a big cell phone fan (me too) and how criminals don't realize the cell phone is not their friend. Would love it if you could do an episode on the increasing number of professional men–doctors, lawyers, C-level execs who are murdering their wives. A lot of people seem surprised when a man who has achieved a high position in society commits murder. As a divorce lawyer, I've represented many professional men who have very dark shadow lives that they must keep hidden, but at some point they snap.

31. Just an FYI: Africa is a continent, not a country. The country where the dentist offed his wife was Zambia in the south-central region of Africa, the continent.

32. How can so many criminals slip through the cracks without proper vetting nowadays? They use and hide within the system that should be landing them behind bars… This one judge is probably out of many others that haven't been held accountable. You can see many people with state or federal positions roll their eyes at the laws they swear to protect when confronted by the everyday citizen when caught doing wrong. The cognitive dissonance is so sickening within how our US officials, and those claiming to uphold laws, bend, break and destroy positions in authority. This just pisses me off how such an old judge could keep his seat for so long with no alarms??!?!??!?
