Woman Goes Irate Over Questionable Traffic Ticket – Everything Law and Order Blog

CORRECTION: There is a local ordinance against texting while driving that the officer likely used to cite this woman https://bit.ly/2RDPKCw The officer deserved a much higher grade.

  1. I get really upset when I see people texting and driving. A vehicle may also become a weapon. Every person who drives and texts are self absorbed , have a sense of entitlement, and they risk our lives because they have zero control of keeping their noses out of their phones. It’s the same as driving while drunk…. IMO… it’s pathetic and says, "I’m more important than you." "I can do whatever I want and if I cause an accident,,,, oh well…." No regard for Antone but themselves.
I think greater consequences should be imposed, mandatory jail and a very hefty fine…. $300 isn’t enough to hurt their bank account and make them stop, fines need to be no less than $50k. Would that make you stop?

  2. Watching this video is crazy to me. Here in the UK we aren't allowed our phones touching us at all whilst we are driving, we could lose our licence for it. We aren't even allowed to use our phones whilst we are parked if the key is in the ignition.

  3. This is so dumb. The amount of people defending the police here don’t even realize they do the same shit. He needs to get a life for real. Pulling people over in Columbus when it’s a high crime rate area. Absolutely stupid, this country worries about the wrong shit. Drugs, guns, etc and this is what we worry about, a lady sending a text at a red light, give me a fucking break. You all are stupid.

  4. I do believe there's a difference between "don't call me bro" and "I'm not your bro" he never told her to not call him that, so her right to freedom of speech there was not violated. He was informing her, not demanding her.

  5. She's not only texing while driving she's also is potentially endagering the life of her child with that reckless behavior. In my opinion, she doesn't love her child enough to put the phone down while she's driving.

  6. If you think your ticket is not lawful (or any other police's action) – don't start arguing. That's what courts are for. Police can make mistakes, police can be bad sometimes – go to court with that. Arguing just won't take you anywhere.

  7. That “your honor I’m a douche bag” was hilarious. In the end though I think he handled it absolutely phenomenal. Instead of letting his ego get in the way and unnecessarily get physical with her he just kind of ignored it over and over again and went about his day 🤣
