  1. Interesting, there was no mentioned of Kamala Harris in a positive light Lol good job. But I am still 100% behind Trump as a proud black MAN. Though Trump should stay out of Venezuela.

Also be careful of so called black candidate. We don't want another Obama.

Also Bernie Sanders gas no chance. Socialism doesn't work.

Kamala Harris is not BLACK STOP THE FOOLISHNESS.

Black men are in a category by ourselves. There is the black community and there is a black MAN community.

The black man vote for Trump will be at least 40%

  2. While I am very happy that your guest, Jacqueline Luqman, mentioned "What We Get Wrong About Closing the Racial Wealth Gap," she did not mention black American lineage and the real debt owed. She implied that black Americans descendants of US slavery will settle for scraps from Bernie if that's all the Dems have to put forward. She thinks that Reparations is a dirty word to the Dems. At least Elizabeth Warren referenced Redlining. I supported Bernie in the last election, but I'm glad Trump won in lieu of Hillary.

I'm concerned that the host called Kamala a "sister." Is the implication she is black American descended of US slaves? She is not. It has become clear that complexion matters MUCH LESS than lineage to those of us who know better. My family is all different shades and hair textures but we are ADOS (Americans Descended of Slaves). Kamala is not black American. She is much more Indian than anything, based on her own words and those of her aunt. Her mother was a Brahman. Many of us recognize the not so clever facade of "blackness" in her feeble attempt to pander to us. We'll see how well that plays out in intelligent black society. However, lineage creates the lens through which black American life is derived. All my ancestors, as far back as the late 1600s, have their blood, sweat, tears and bones in this American soil. As of yet, I have not found one who came through Ellis Island or on an airplane.

I disagree with Ms. Luqman. Many black Americans will either not show up for the Dems or will vote for Trump 2020 if there are no tangibles offered to the ADOS community. Why should the Dems be rewarded with the Presidency, or any other national political office, when they have gone out of their way to neglect ADOS? As a matter of fact, Trump's trade policies and stance on illegal immigration is benefiting the black American community. What advantage does Kamala's stance on abolishing ICE have for the ADOS community? None. ICE may be the only law enforcement agency not tasked with targeting the ADOS community. How has immigration, legal or illegal, since 1965 benefited the ADOS? It hasn't. Frankly, a lot of ADOS are tired of the subject of illegal immigration sucking all the air out of the room in such a way that our issues are not addressed. I know we're a dying breed, but we're going to go down swinging. Otherwise, good show.

  3. Trust me, nobody's checking for Bernie Sanders. I don't know why she keeps mentioning him. He wasn't on our radar in 2016.

  4. The so called Real New is wrong on so many issues its not funny …. we dont forget that you were in the "Assad must go !" camp for so long that it became embarrassing so we are not surprised you ignore the most popular candidate with your audience …… This is why you have less than 300k subs and an average of 5k views per vid after 10 years and millions of $ in backing from persons whose identity you refuse to disclose.

  5. The black and PoC community having a seat at the table means having PoC progressives in Bernies administrations if he wins.

  6. GREAT answers by jacqueline, can people on the left stop playing the identity politics game they are so derided for (even if the right wingers are just as bad or worse), stop trying to judge people by their skin color, gender, sexual orientation etc and be purely about policy and addressing real issues. If martin luther king was the whitest white man the world has ever seen but had the exact same message i would support not a fraction less than if he was a black man or any other color

  7. Bernie bows to Aipac and condoned the Hilary War machine dogma. He's a professional politician after all. He knows economics, he knows a lot, so what? There is no game but the wrong game as long as Neo Liberal policies are untouchable.

  8. Sadly, you can never say in 17 minutes things that will please every single person. The conversation was a general overview of the landscape CURRENTLY. In JANUARY. It was not about every single candidate. It was not about every single policy. And the discussion about reparations is one that needs and deserves a lot more time than to be sandwiched in between 17 minutes of everything else. Some see "tap dancing," some see "nuanced," but remember that the primaries are not until JULY 2020. So these discussions have just begun.

  9. Oh it is easy to get around the super delegates only voting after the first round. You stack up the people who are running and get moderate progressives to go against Bernie and then of course there will not be one winner so then they can bring in the super delegates and they will make sure Bernie doesn't get the nomination. Easy as pie.

  10. I believe a Look at the American Agenda would be a prerequisite before we decide what sort of President our nation needs to pull itself out of the Abyss that Carl Sagan predicted back in 1995.

  11. 5:45 see, this is where I have to disagree. Not EVERYONE’s ancestors tilled and plowed this land for centuries without pay. Not everyone went through redlining, housing discrimination, loan/mortgage discrimination, etc etc. I could go on for days. Why should Black American DACS share their reparations with anyone else? As if the Jews had to split their reparations with everyone… that’s not ideal and we shouldn’t expect less of ourselves by simply accepting “baby bonds” (which EVERYONE will get) when we were always set to be below EVERY group economically. Purposefully.

  12. I’m all on board for Bernie if he supports reparations for Black American Descendants of American Chattel Slavery, which he has previously said he does not (although he has supported various Reperations for jews, which shows some interesting cognitive dissonance). I intend to put pressure on him in some way. I hope other Black Americans join me.

  13. Pride, self steam, empathy, dignity, caring, sharing, human values, respect, self respect for others do Republicans understand all of the above HONESTLY doubt it. Shame for what they have been doing for over four decades to this country what they have brought to the whole world INCOME AND WEALTH INEQUALITY, POVERTY, PAIN, MISERY, DESTRUCTION, SORROW are these so called human beings understand the result of their actions

  14. You realize any Economic policies designed to help the poor strata will disproportionately benefit minorities ? But Nah Gotta cash in my ancestors suffering , because this ''activist'' isn't out there for justice or equality or math , it's playing for her team .

  15. Sanders needs to be pushed hard to left on much and reshaped to the will of the people. He may be better on a number of issues than most, but we must not be satisfied with his perception of the world. We must make him see from varied and different perspectives.

  16. Insightful lady. Pity they will never in a million years have her on on outlets with a bigger audience…Can you imagine her on Morning Joe or The View or Meet the Press or Anderson Cooper telling the truths she is spreading here to millions of television viewerts?

  17. Little bit of tap dancing there. The question @ 4:53 was about what economic tangibles Bernie was going to give blacks and her answer was something that’s going to end up being for “people of color” instead. Sadly that’s the trap blacks keep falling into fooling with the democratic party.

  18. The wisdom and clarity of Jacqueline Luqman is awe inspiring. Just for the sake of gaining a picture of the whole of the field, though, I would have wished for a little bit more details on her evaluation of Elizabeth Warren, her policies and her chances.

  19. The DNC Ratf@#cked Bernie's campaign by deleting voters off the rolls. It is known Kaleesi! They will do it again unless Bernie's campaign has a plan to stop it!

  20. None of the Government and most of the media will not hear this, But if you want to help ALL THE PEOPLE start using real money. It's not rocket science! They always look pass real solutions.

  21. Should have Ocasio-Cortez run for President once she's over puberty. She is fabulously brilliant with a ton of policies she wants implemented and saving America from becoming Venezuela under Trump.

  22. One thing i learned from this interview is that both left and right don't want Tulsi to be elected as she doesn't fit neither groups. But then i am not American so i might be wrong about it.
