  1. We is the tax incentive so called deal secretive and shouldn’t we the people have an opportunity to see the deal and vote

  2. I don't know all of the details, and I'd much prefer that we actually had a free market, but usually these deals involve tax breaks over a number of years and not direct payments to these large corporations, so there's a chance that the income and other taxes will still produce a net benefit, especially over time. Of course, the real problem is that a city like New York has a tax and spend problem, which makes them uncompetitive on their own merits.

  3. "Cities with travel access?" That's a piss poor analysis. They wanted access to the countries top lobbist and government officials. They would have taken no money and still moved there. This is Amazon gearing up for an anti trust battle and making sure it buys as many law makers as possible before hand. Fortunately for Amazon, the Dems already made it top priority to protect Amazon from any Trump anti-trust attacks.

  4. This is really-existing capitalism, and not even in its most dangerous form: the carbon-burning is its most dangerous form.

  5. So it seems people are finally waking up to see the rampant criminality in corpirations who are destroying America. Look at what just happened in Wisconsin. All the tax breaks given in exchange for employment backfired. Stop playing theses cons games.
