  1. Because the Trump mafia plan is going to do some really bad things. To people. Elimination of elderly disabled veterans. Because of the Opioid hysteria lie. It is and has always been illegal drugs which are now going to be cocaine and meth. That is going to kill more people.
They are already killing people that I mentioned who can't get proper care. End up dying from heart attacks or strokes toxic hormones that as well cause damage . Or some go to the streets. Trump wants to continue on that path. Plus he has put Alex azure in charge over federal law. It Will not be recognized at all. Also implementation of tech gadgets and if not following their servailing people's lives. Will be denied care.

  2. It seems obvious that once the for-profit health insurance system is no longer sucking huge amounts of money, that the doctors would be able to make significantly more money under a Medicare for All system.

  3. What a heck doctor, we already have a specific tax for health care, it is called Medicare tax. The current rate for Medicare is 1.45% for the employer and 1.45% for the employee, or 2.9% total. This is obviously too low for universal health care and would need to be raised but for this your health insurance premium, co pays, and deductibles would be eliminated. This would be a winner for most since health insurance has become ridiculous expensive and for many totally worthless because of co pays and deductibles.

  4. This guy thinks he’s smart but he’s a blockhead. Medicare is paid directly from the federal government which is the creator of the dollar and can create as many dollars as it wants. If we had Medicare for All, the government is the price setter and will pay the hospitals and doctors whatever the government wants to pay them. But if the hospitals and doctors are not being paid enough in order to run their private businesses then obviously the government will pay more to keep the private hospitals and doctors solvent, because it doesn’t matter what the price is, the government can pay it because it creates the dollar and can create as many dollars as it wants.

    Plain and simple! #LearnMMT

  5. The public option will fail. Single payer is the only way. If your presidential candidate doesn’t support a single payer system, that person s on the wrong side of history.

  6. Good piece. Thanks TRNN. I wonder how much their analysis and prescriptions coincide with Sanders' proposal. It sounds pretty similar. I wish he would have discussed the areas of overlap and divergence between their recommendations and the Sanders healthcare plan.

  7. Wow! This is an important endorsement. Nurses union support Bernie & Medicare for all. The AMA has long had it's own issues, protecting dangerous Drs & working with lobbyists to limit malpractice awards. They're corporatists through & through.
Edit: Medicare spends 3% on administrative costs, private insurance is 7-11%. Every dollar spent processing & denying claims means less money for care. Honest Drs know that employing more staff on claims means less care staff.
Bernie proposes changes to Medicare but has called it Medicare for all due to peoples familiarity with the term vs single payor.
