No humans have lived under these conditions before. But clearly the world ends soon.

Here's why: 1) An ice free arctic in 2019/2020 ensures an abrupt spike in temperatures, massive crop losses, already down 20%-30% in 2018, global famine and extinction in well under 5 years due to 1,600 nuclear facilities failing catastrophically when skilled labor stops maintaining them. 2) Plankton biomass is down 50% and falling fast, which means oxygen levels and ozone protecting us from UV is also falling, while our backup oxygen machine, the Amazon, is being destroyed by Brazil's new president. If we remain paralyzed or lethargic we are toast. 3) SIMPLE EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS: A $1 tax on every gallon of petro at the pump and spent helping cities make a rapid ONE year transition to zero emission power and fuels. 4) To ensure you hit targets simply stop relying on election cycles. PUBLIC GRAND JURIES, already supported by the Supreme Court, which anyone can form and in their first month INDICT, RECALL AND REPLACE politicians at all levels in under 30 days starting with your local Mayor and County Supervisors, then Governor and State A.G. if any one of them hesitates, stalls, ignores grave issues, makes an ignorant statement proving them unfit for public office, or makes a single false promise, called "Intent to Defraud" and "Gross/Willful Negligence" which thereby endangers human life. James Hansen's federal suit on behalf of kids employs a similar tactic. A coalition of Mayors so empowered by AG's and Governors can move mountains at the state level and a coalition of Governors backed by Mayors can change the nation, the planet and hopefully our grim future. 5) Using your Grand Juries, Mayors, local D.A's and State A.G. and a coalition of Governors during the second 30 day period simply indict and prosecute criminal cases against Members of Congress to accelerate their acceptance of a progressive agenda, which must lay out an aggressive ONE YEAR OR BUST plan to make every American community zero emission. The well paid jobs alone make the case, as does GreenTech exports given our ballooning Natl. Debt. BONUS: the same process can defund any corporation or billionaire who funds destructive processes, banking billions of additional funds for local projects. In short, feed on the corruption like piranhas. Lawyers love a good feeding fest. 6) Once that's fully underway we'll need to deploy geo-engineering solutions, such as nurturing plankton (oxygen/CO2 exchange), reforestation, desert remediation, hazmat cleanup, eliminating plastics and focus Intl. pressure, if not our military, on protecting the Amazon and other rainforests, converting deserts worldwide into lush,, green carbon sinks. 7) Additionally, sad as it may be, while we eliminate CO2/methane emissions and reduce greenhouse gases and ocean carbonic acid levels we'll need solar radiation mgmt; i.e. sulphur dioxide paritcles, for a brief period to IMMEDIATELY halt trends leading to an ice free arctic in 2019/2020. If we reverse that we buy time and if not, nothing else we do really matters. 8) If we do ALL of this we might dodge extinction. If we do some of this or are too slow, there won't be much left still functioning during the 2020 election and perhaps nothing left alive on Earth by 2022-2025. You have months, barely; but certainly not 12 years or even 2. You can't argue with physics, nor should you waste time arguing with corrupt or ignorant politicians. You don't have any time to waste. Just indict and prosecute a few and watch how fast the rest of them get a clue. 9) There is hope. The Mauna Loa CO2 graph (Keeling Curve) clearly shows a decrease in CO2 levels 6 months a year. If we amplify that and work to reverse CO2 all year long we mighg actually drive down atmospheric CO2 and ocean carbonic acid levels faster than we thought possible. 10) Discussions about population and action by other nations aren't worthless, but given our experience and budgets dominating nations, these challenges are minor compared to learning to harness our own political bodies. Its not that tough if we try and if we fail, we all die. Choose wisely.

26. every day i see countless trucks on the CA freeways chugging out black smoke… it's endless and unaccountable. brown signed SB1 which removed any requrements to modernize their trucks. yet i have to do a smog check in my civic hybrid. gimme a break. either elon musk is gonna save us with EV trucks, or we're lost. leadership is in the union pockets in CA.
