  1. Legalize recreational use of weed in Canada? What a shame. That shit will get you locked up for a long time and even the death penalty in Asian countries.

  2. Why would anyone I. Canada ever want to come to the United States anyway? This isn’t hurting anyone. Who cares? The real news is that Monsanto has its hands on marijuana now. That’s scary. Grow your own. Monsanto should be broken up or completely shut down.

  4. “In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume… Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man."
― Francis Young -DEA Administrative Law Judge – 1988

"Penalties against possession of a drug should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself; and where they are, they should be changed. Nowhere is this more clear than in the laws against possession of marijuana in private for personal use…”
    – Jimmy Carter (U.S.President)

“Congress should definitely consider decriminalizing possession of marijuana…We should concentrate on prosecuting the rapists and burglars who are a menace to society.”
-Dan Quayle (U.S. Representative & Vice President)

"Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could."
“The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help and suckering well intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents.”
    – William F. Buckley Jr. (American conservative author and commentator)

"The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world."
    – Dr. Carl Sagan (American Cosmologist, Astrobilologist, author & science communicator)

“You bet I did -— and I enjoyed it.” ….when asked if he had ever smoked marijuana.
    – Michael Bloomberg (New York City Mayor)

"Studies have consistently failed to establish the existence of a link between the harshness of a country’s drug laws and its levels of drug use."
    -Kofi Annan (U.N. Secretary General)

"Pot is a better drug than alcohol. I'll prove it to you. You're at a ball game or a concert, and someone's really violent and aggressive and obnoxious, are they drunk or are they smoking pot?"
“Why is pot against the law? It wouldn't be because anyone can grow it, and therefore you can't make a profit off it, would it?”
“…It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn’t the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit…unnatural?”
-Bill Hicks (Satirist, Social Critic, Stand-Up Comedian)

    – – And last, but certainly not least (my personal favorite) – –

"If the words "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on."
    – Terence McKenna (American ethnobotanist, author, advocate for responsible use of natural psychedelic plants)

  5. Note – the border police are searching cell phones for key words related to pot, and on that basis they charge you with possession of schedule one drug!

  6. I think peoples lungs do not want smoke in them, period! Some states here in the US have legalized marijuana and the accident rate on highways has increased in those states. I have seen many people driving while smoking with babies in the vehicle.

  7. Notice the asian guy says sell something more addictive. Cigarettes are addictive, pot is addictive, alcohol is addictive and yet, alcohol is sold everywhere, even in grocery stores.

  8. The people making these comments are all pot smokers of course. Anyone who takes drugs of any kind just to get drunk or high definitely has mental problems. I have witnessed those who smoke pot. Not pleasant. I have been around those who drink beer and after a while they slur their speech. I am not talking about falling over drunk. Harder drugs are worse than pot or beer of course. But still, anyone who smokes pot is not respecting his own body and it is the only one we have. Life is much better without drugs.

  9. Good they can stay in their country and WE will stay in ours, WE have a country that is bountiful and your jealousy will know no bounds as we WILL prosper and we will conquer the DRUG world that has made us slaves of our society. Thank YOU, make America Great Again, as we will rock our world, when you smoke it releases some of that pent up energy and gives you the hopes and caring of what we had in the GOOD old days. So, Come On CANADA let us show them how it is done. God Thank You for making this become a reality to our world and may we conquer the Druglords of our society. WE are Liberals after all.

  10. Good! As a Canadian I LONG for the day that we drop America as our number one trading partner. We have to share their border, we don't have to share their toxic ideologies.

  11. I started in this field about 60 years ago! (circa 1969) not 20 years ago! I remember at age 19, in a VW bus going up with some friends to Montreal from NY state. It was evening, turning to dark. At the border, we were commanded to proceed to secondary inspection. The boys and the girls in our group were separated. We were all musicians, probably looking like the hippies that we were (probable cause?), wearing paisley and smelling of patchouli.

I was led into a room, required to strip and pull my cheeks apart as this lesbian officer searched my every orifice. After about 2 hours, with our clothes back on, and fully traumatized, we were finally allowed to proceed through the border check into Canada. They told us that they had found a couple seeds and some residue in our VW camper but that after testing they had insufficient sample remaining to proceed to charges and arrests. I was like, "What?! Are you F'ing kidding me?" Thank God after 60 years, that ridiculous BS is finally coming to an end! Now…can I get a framable typed apology from Justin Trudeau?? Yeah…right. Dream on. We can't even apologize to the citizens of Hiroshima.

  12. Precious… The U.S. of A, the globe's #1 Rogue-state, Terrorist-state and Terrorism-sponsor giving itself airs of morality… Poster-nation, for Retardation…

  13. Dickish is a perfect word! The US of A isn't my country anymore (though I still have to live here sadly). I am no longer "PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN".

  14. Oh, bad show! Looked like really positive news, but then you go off into scaremongering about pesticides on weed. Growers simply don't use the same level of poisons on weed as we routinely use on food crops, we're talking about over-the-counter gardening products, not industrial-strength chemicals.

Meanwhile, washing fruit grown from poisoned soil doesn't take the poison out of the fruit. There's nothing going into weed that's worse than anything routinely sprayed on your lunch.

  15. Which brings in more corporate profit? Is it the budding cannabis industry? Or is it the already existing prison industrial complex that has been built up around the war on drugs and post 9/11 crackdowns on civil liberties?
