As Trump Threatens Iran With War, Espionage Charges Against Assange Threaten Journalists

1. Assange, you should have hacked Trump and not Hillary.

2. How can you charge someone who is not a U.S. citizen with "espionage"? Isn't Assange Australian? The U.S. government doesn't even follow its own laws and constitution. "Government". I should say "cabal".
   And war with Iran? The U.S. is going to simultaneously whip Iran, Venezuela, China and Russia (among others) into submission? With some of its major allies in disarray (the Brexit fiasco in the UK, ongoing civil unrest in France)? The Western Empire is crumbling.

9. Thanks for this. CBC reported tonight that he was charged with "leaking national security secrets" and that he had been evading trial by "hiding in the Ecuadoran Embassy." This is a deliberate misrepresentation, and I doubt that many people will notice without independent media such as you. I can't recall another threat to the first amendment as significant and worry about what we have become. The reality of these wars of intervention is not reported or understood by the American people. Max Blumenthal's recent book, "The Management of Savagery" is a well-footnoted eye-opener. We have created an enormous mess.
