I do not know the history of this state and I'm unsure about how to go on to find out but weren't there any prior periods that the Democrats held the majority so that they could introduce this legislation?

Interesting that this news focuses on the one place where Republicans are apparently doing the same thing Democrats are doing in several other places, including gerrymandering and ballot harvesting. California's been doing this for years, but that's ok, because it's for Democrats, lol.
Lol. You need a photo ID, so right at the polls, we'll print you out a photo ID. That's what this guy said, and doesn't really see how that negates the purpose of an ID in the first place?
the sad thing is the average voter in North Carolina voted FOR an amendment to our state constitution to require photo ID.
That's because they are ignorant about the voting process, the checking in procedures and the implications of requiring a photo ID. The GOP will now try to require that only certain photo IDs be allowed, chiseling out students, minorities and people who don't drive or no longer drive.

Aren't the DEMOCRATS, doing the exact same thing in other states? I've seen with my 'OWN LYING EYES' Atleast 6 to 7 cases, exsposed on local news OF DEMOCRAT OPERATIVES BEING ARRESTED FOR VOTER FRAUD in different states (Mostly Latino Groups also)… I like the IDEA'S that the Democratic rep, is proposing, but does he understand the fact that, 'ILLEGALS ARE VOTING' IF YOU also GIVE THEM FREE ID'S, won't that make it easier, for them to illegally VOTE? That seems really counter productive, from the American voters point of view… Stop ILLEGALS from voting FIRST then launch these kind of proposals.. Illegals are already stealing ID's and SSN numbers. "REAL NEWS" I just don't know any more.

Yes, beyond messed up there, perhaps time to exercise that "first in flight" thing. just a thought.
Here in Europe we have a permanently updated residents' registry that is how you automatically get registered to vote. Today it's nearly impossible to be doubly registered. Also we count votes by hand, from sealed transparent ballot boxes, and it's as fast as some 2 hours of wait to have nearly final results in many cases.
The fraud is in media control and thus coverage, sometimes in barriers for registering new lists and parties, but not in the election process as such.
