Dr. David Fowler garnered national attention after his controversial testimony on behalf of killer cop Derek Chauvin. The former Maryland Chief Medical Examiner made headlines when he testified Floyd died in part due to exhaust from a tail pipe. The testimony raised questions about his competence and police bias, and lead nearly 400 medical pathologists to call for review of his rulings on ‘police-involved’ deaths during his tenure in Maryland.
This week, in response to a request from The Real News Network, the state of Maryland released a list of roughly 1,400 cases of in-custody deaths that occurred during Fowler’s tenure. The list has been turned over the the Maryland Attorney General’s office for review by a panel of experts.

Being a "former" anything should disqualify one from officially testifying to anything. Then, to allow them to dispute testimony, documented physical evidence and common sense to remove culpability of murder? Taking care of the blue line…
All "former" and current legal examinations, autopsies, diagnoses, investigations and testimonies require another scrutinization by an independent civilian review board or panel with current certifications and qualifications, with civilian being the operative title. Just another branch of qualified immunity from behind the blue line.

Racist/bigot cops hire racist/bigot support staff. Funny, if a criminal assaults or robs a victim, and said victim is harmed or dies – the criminal is blamed even if they did not directly harm or kill the victim. But when a cop does it, we blame the victim. End government corruption in America.
