  1. From reading Dr Reed's works i understand that his ideal for black ppl asking for reparations to ask “what do we get?” and not worrying ab whether to call it “reparations” or something else, that the focus on the R word instead of the “so what do we actually get?” question is what he's against.

  2. Cutting checks for black people is not gonna help long term issues. We need to INVEST in black communities! ASAP.
Maybe Bloomberg or Steyer can cut Y’all a check meanwhile..I might take it too:) but that is not going to help the future generation, nor it’s gonna create paying jobs and education for all.

  3. Does Anyone Remember A Public Debate about REPARATIONS For The JEWS, THE JAPANESE and NATIVE AMERICANS The Government Just GAVE THEM REPARATIONS
NO QUESTIONS ASKED. These People are Blowing SMOKE UP OUR ASS.The Narrative ,they are putting forth is Negative and Works Against Black #ADOS.

  4. Jacqueline, you did an excellent job with your questions and attempts to hold him to the issue. I am very disappointed in Prof. Reed's position, awkwardness and lack of political imagination with respect to what is possible and necessary for our people to survive. We need better than him.

  5. What the eff. You can say reparations or bust, but without Sanders we are all going down. If Sanders isn’t for it, it’s not because he doesn’t believe in the cause. Please. Look at every one of his policies. It’s because he is trying to revolutionize the system to be one which we could accomplish reparations. Until then it will not happen.

  6. I actually agree with him. The way our system works, reparations needs some work. We currently don't have a strategy to even get one branch of government on our side.

  7. How is M4A reparations? Is Bernie receiving M4A or are he and his people receiving a monthly check for something that has nothing whatsoever to do with the US? My ancestors fought for my freedom and his. What is this man even talking about?

  8. All these black nationalist youtubers are all talk. What's the policy strategy???staying home?
Black people already stay home. That doesnt get things done.
When are one of these so called black power youtubers going to form a group to go talk to politicians? Is all were going to do is write hashtags and talk on the internet????

  9. This is how stupid the no vote people are. Especially the ADOS people.
Theres zero chance that 1 single Republican in the Senate would vote for reparations. Zero chance that a Republican president would sign off on it. Zero strategy to make it happen. The majority of the American people arent for it. And never will be as long as they're the majority. If you're a contributor to society ie working class citizen that happens to be black, you should vote for someone that aligns with your politics.
Do you want free healthcare, lesser taxes, free college ,
Taxing and regulating rich corporations. Stopping the prison industrial complex? If you're a middle class or poor black person, you should want these things.

  10. Reparations is an INTERNATIONAL WORLDS COURT ISSUE not an American Issue; America is the DEFENDANT. Negroe attorneys need to file their LAWSUIT IN INTERNATIONAL WORLDS COURT/ UNITED NATIONS…

  11. Reparations is something specific for black American decendants OF slavery. Its these old defeated people who cant imagine winning for justice

  12. I believe that Reparations would boost our economy, money will be changing hands. For example I can buy a new car, that means GM will be saleing more cars. That's a boost to the economy. Thank you! Mic'19 ADOS get involved!

  13. People should defanity be concerned with the discussion of reparations due to reasons such as the current wealth inequality gap that resulted from arguments that support the idea (segregation, redlining, etc).

Limiting/impeding black people from the ability to build wealth only limits our ability to consume, which is a vital element of a market economy. Afro-American consumption is the highest in the country.

I think we should take it a step further by using the $1 trillion plus yearly purchasing power that we've been able to accumulate thus far and restrict it to the consumption of products/services that are only produced and sold by our own people (similar to the "Montgomery bus boycott" in 1956) Once we unite and use our economic 💪 they will have no choice but to listen.

  14. hes suting a…halot of shit his asshole is up on his mout gat toilat paper he shiting out his mout gave him some toilet paper who is he talking flour

  15. Bernie Sanders is honest, you know where he stands and what he will fight for. I respect that, if you say Sanders is dishonest you haven't been paying attention, he has been saying the same thing for 40 years. He ain't perfect but I prefer honesty. #ADOS4BERNIE

  16. Book dumbass you can't go anywhere unless you let people know that they count and that they are people 4 atoning the wrongs that you've done it's not just a monetary issue it's about a society that have treated people less than people putting black people where they should as a result of building this country that is repairing and then Justice even if you give some stuff to people but not fully repair the unjust you're not doing anything if you punch me in the nose I don't want you to come out and say I'm going to give everybody $20 because I punch William Munoz I want you to apologize to me for punching me in the nose and if I fell on the ground because you punch me in the nose it is your responsibility to help me up and set things back the way they were to make it right

  17. This idiot needs to see the statistics you got to do research first before you talk. There were laws and government policy that directly affected a d o s Jim Crow redlining or housing discrimination there were policies that stifled the ability of black people to compete and those policies affect us flight to this day you can't say we can't do it because it's too hard because we did it for everybody else and we experienced way worse harm than anybody has ever experienced as people we are tired of the system doing something for everybody else but us in trickle down to us we built this country even today if somebody gets raped we want to go back 30 and 40 years and make them pee last I checked there was no statute of limitations on murder and blacks have had all of the above right to this day . We're not trying to figure out whether you owe us reparations because you do. A debt is a debt and you have to pay for wrong that was done all that other talk is stupid. No more stupid ass opinions without research

  18. Why do they keep putting these people in the spotlight clearly have not invested enough research in the subject this guy does not have a clue of what he's talking about because he haven't put the time he is lacking so much information that it would take me so much time right now to explain

  19. Where does the majority come from Dr. Reed? There must be a beginning. You are actually making an argument to stand against a crucial part of that beginning. Fatalism at its best. You want medicare for All perhaps building a left coalition where black people have specific representation would strengthen a coalition toward all progressive ends. Inability to do that is more of a weakness than anything else for the left. Universal programs do not address racial disparity period. Also if Dr. Reed fails to understand what reparations means he should strive to educate himself.

  20. Would the descendants of the black slave owners pay reparations or do they just kind of get lucky? And how about descendants of whites from the north who died freeing slaves? I'm sorry but your request for reparations makes you look pathetic.

  21. Here is an honest question, take it how you want. Why is it that people in the black community seem to have such little faith in themselves and their ability that arguing for reparations that will never happen and should never happen takes precedence over taking their lives into their own hands and freeing themselves from the idea that until whites make the first move you go nowhere?

  22. No whites received and benefits from the Japanese, Jewish or indigenous Americans getting reparations!!! That argument has no merit!

  23. Policies that are for "everyone", that happen to help a majority POC, are far, far easier to sell a divisive policy like reparations. Most of his policies are reparations, in fact, and POC will get more financially and systemically by getting those policies than a one time cheque.
