  1. It makes me sick that we are STILL talking about the incarceration of young black people in mass numbers. School to prison pipelines are Jim Crow in action, and people know it.

What the hell do I have to do? I give money, I talk about the inequality, I join groups, I protest, nothing seems to change.

I'm 70 years old and have not been shy about my opinions on equality for ALL cultures and races.

And now while they are trying to disband public education so they can dumb down the voting base, it's even more important to change this mindset.

Again, WHAT THE HELL DO WE HAVE TO DO?

  2. The woman that talked about getting coffee and talking to the youth knows what's up!!!

These people need to embrace capitalism while we still have the freedom to educate yourself and start businesses that provide needed services and jobs for their communities. Yes we need to keep fighting against a corrupt government, but we can still succeed in spite of it. You can't tell me that just because you are not white or not wealthy you don't have the brains to succeed!

  3. I stay a registered Democrat to try to vote for progressive candidates in primaries. When that fails, I vote third party in the general election, which is most of the time.

  4. I am a huge fan of Nina Turner, perfect running mate with Bernie Sanders 2020. The only obstacle to this pair winning will be the DNC. Time to go Green Party.

I do hope that everyone heard her speak of unity. I am 74 & I've never witnessed such racial tension since before the Civil Rights Act 1964 Young people need to understand how many of us young white kids joined hands with black kids in their fight for right!

Keep it simple, Turn back the clock to FDR's regulated capitalism & socialist program, add single payer & green energy – "The Green New Deal" But do it now! Get out, get active – watch Ralph Nader on TJDS about a month ago, he gives us a plan.

  5. 🙏💜 awesome panel of speakers! Danny Glover is right on point "indigenous tribes understood the importance of mutual aid and
cooperation" within the tribe to keep it healthy and whole. The
woman who spoke of "love ethic" to reach her community
youth was truly inspiring!! That action alone can change
the course of a young persons life for the better by just being acknowledged with
kindness. Yes, everyone in that audience is considered a threat to the establishment as the first speaker quoted but remember there are strenght
in numbers and political prisoners need our support.
Glad we have Nina Turner as a
    representative too!

  6. The Corporate owned Democratic Party is NOT to be trusted,….MLK was killed due to HIS stance on ECONOMIC JUSTICE, plain and simple…..The Power Elite structure $$$ saw him as a definite threat…..Nina Turner is a great leader speaking Truth to Power…

  7. His name is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is not a misspelling of the word "milk." Give our most honored ancestor the respect our culture demands.

Stop the Black on Black crime racist concept they created to distract us from their crimes against our people. There is always one of us that brings up this message from the master. They created the term that paints a negative image of our youth. We did not.

We have a political party that has run a Black woman for President, Cynthia McKinney and a Black man for Vice President, Ajamu Baraka. I voted for that party, the Green Party. I have never belong to a political party since becoming 21 and being eligible to vote. I have always been an independent. I vote the individual and not the party. Time to leave. The first elections in America had no political parties.

The comments about snakes is in reference to what Muhammad Ali said after being asked why distrust of all white people. Very nice discussion session. Reminds me of the 1960s.

  8. I want to add to what Danny Glover said. According to the Interweb Homosapiens outsurvived Neanderthalls because they were better at communicating and organizing. As an Egyptian I've noticed that this is something which is lacking in the people movement. We get turned off by each other because we lack this ability to communicate and organize.

  9. The seeds of Capitalism are extraction of surplus value and the accumulation of surplus value. From these seeds grows an exploitative, anarchic and spontaneous society that nurtures itself and grows through deception, fraud and greed. Deception is contradiction; the the false narrative that is given as a universal truth which creates crisis. Framing the narrative that either it is Capitalism where some have and some don't verses the narrative that with Socialism no one has anything is the deception. A deception that doesn't address the contradiction that Capital must accumulate all the surplus to survive. This leads to the crisis that defines the Yellow Vest movement. The deception that Education is a privilege not a right has lead to the contradiction that the US doesn't have the Educated populace it needs to lead us into a functioning 21st century society. The crisis is the realization that China has won the Technology battle. Technology is the collective knowledge of humanity but Capitalism seems to think it can be claimed as intellectual property and be exploited to enhance the extraction of surplus value. Plantation Capitalism is the merge of Anglo-American Feudalism with Capitalism. Capitalism is a dialectic; it's thesis, antithesis and synthesis is a creative destructive process; a process that that leads to transcendence where the collective knowledge becomes the surplus value that we need to save us. Capitalism exploits the free gifts from Nature that belongs to the Commons; one of those gifts is Carbon based Energy. We're in a Climate emergency and the Feudal rent seekers believe it is their divine province to continue to exploit. Capitalism sows the seeds to its transcendence; that doesn't have to be addressed; it's the Feudal rent seeker's that feel they have a right to exploit is what must be addressed.

  10. That woman who goes one one with our kids – that should have been our national approach, instead of labeling them 'superpredators', and packing them into prison by the millions.

  11. I think we need to rephrase the title. Something like "What Danny Glover, Nina Turner, and Eddie want us to accomplish".
I thought when I read the existing title that you were going to tell me what we need to do about these respected leaders.

  12. Janice from las Vegas I agree with you my child of God I myself is going threw the same I'm on u tube unveiling secret attacks on me no help I've been fighting for years may God bless an strengthen you my people in Jesus Christ mighty name Amen.

  13. Nina Turner, you need to mistrust Capitalism more. The Capitalism of our youth was nothing compared to where its heading.
