  1. Truth! art heals! I am a teaching artists with profoundly disabled adults. It's the process of creating that is spirit enhancing, enables everyone to deal with life more positively.

  2. Fine interview, and yes, arts shouldn't be taken out of schools. When people have the abilities for working with various arts, then it should be made available to them in school; while, people who aren't really able in arts should be provided alternatives, including crafts. They should all be provided with a common or basic education, but they should also be provided with some additional choices, which can vary from one student to another.

  3. In grade school, I learned to dance in gym class. I learned to play the flute in band class. I learned to sing in the choir class, I learned fair play in the school playground. I tried to learn the violin, but dropped out of that because my fingers were too weak to hold the strings down. The point I'm making is that these were available only in school unless you had parents with the money to pay a private teacher (and some of these were in my neighborhood My parents paid the neighbor across the street from us to teach me piano (a nickle for each weeks lesson.) I learned to swim at the lake in my town and my dad helped me. The loss of these programs is large. All of these grew my mind as well as my body.

  4. The schools only exist to train workers. When you understand that, it explains very well why they took the arts out of schools.

  5. Have you noticed instead of talking about Kamela’s nephew Jussie Smollet about him frauding a hate crime !!!!!
They eat their own by throwing R.Kelley under the bus !!!!!!
R.Kelley sorry the same people that say they are for the equality yet we see you are expendable, NO NEWS of JUSSIE SMOLLET, and his hate Hoax WHY because politicians are involved Corey Booker, Ali Sharpton, Kamela Harris !!!!!!!!!! Etc etc etc
So R. Kelley they got together with the main news media to STOP talking about the stage hAte crime by politicians, an Smollet and replace it with
Sexual abuses of R. Kelley .
Nothing proved just accusations. NOW SMOLLET,
they have EVIDENCE not just ACCUSATIONS
But the politicians are COVERING up their CRIME !!!!!!

  6. Arts and sports are natural stress releavers. This whether as a spectator or participant; good book, good play, moving poem or great game; all are uplifting.

    Beautiful interview
