Fires and floods have happened all the time in the past. Do some research. You can't judge a changing climate by people's perception. What needs to be done is to build infrastructure like levees and such to protect from flooding.

Temperature records show almost no net surface temperature rise for 20 years. The "experts" have to claim it decided to instead hide in the oceans by some yet unknown transitional means. Ocean level rise is stuck at less than 2mm/y for 100+ years and counting. They had to "calibrate out predicted oscillator drift" in satellite data to get the new desired double rate alarming trend. But they can't as easily fake the stubbornly flat tide gauges. Arctic sea ice is growing. Average global temperature has dropped since 2016. The new disappearing polar bear icon now needs to be a walrus because everyone who cares now knows polar bears are doing just fine. So climate change has now become a climate emergency. Its an emergency for the alarmists. They have to push the agenda hard before enough people see it needs to be renamed once again to the climate change joke.

We're going to address climate change long before 2049. The US has become a populace of dope fiends and the dope has turned us into bumbling idiot morons. The dope isn't opioids, heroin or some other exotic drug; the dope is money and it has us at the edge of extinction. There is a Carbon cycle, that cycle has existed for millions of years and the amount of CO2 has varied between 180 to 280 PPM. Burning fossil fuels has added 130 PPM's of CO2 into this cycle and the added CO2 has gone into the Oceans making them more acidic, into our biosphere and into the air trapping more long wave radiation that would normally radiate into space. This is basic science but being dope fiends and getting that next fix is all that matters. Everything this bumbling idiot moron administration does to try and ignore our climate is like a six year old that covers their eyes and thinks that no one can see them. The one defining characteristic about our dope fiend culture is the inability to face reality's dialectic nature. You don't critique Capitalism and how it conditions the individual to fiend money because it's a perfect system. Trump seems to have understood that increase of flux & frequencies to assure band widths for internet for 24 hours in the climate, don't spare the natural operators to elastically retain the necessary sustainability factors which assure moderate weathers & smooth energy dissipation in climate. Theoretical studies on various models which include both "constant pressure sustainability model" (CPSM) as well as "frequency impact sustainability model" (FISM) indicate that A-SALS are being overloaded with about 1% percent unattainable recovery per week (if we assume that electromagnetic flux & transmitted frequencies in climate don't cover more than 0.5% volume of studied climate) & hence NSI has been lowered to 2.5 points in CPSM & 3.1 points in FISM during last 5 years. This means that climate is already developing additional unbalanced energy at the rate of 1 percent per week which is dissipated through tornadoes & abnormal wind storms. This assessment is based by neglecting the more than doubled amount of star dust which is falling on earth & only accounts for the man made frequency load on climate. While the studies indicate that elastic relations between Atmospheric A-SALS & Soil A-SALS are also being affected by the man made frequency loads.
While there is ever growing need for necessary labs & experimentation for a scientific understanding of climate, our empirical knowledge of physics suggests that the natural frequency can interact with frequency loads in various patterns of interference & we find in Holy Quran which distinguishes between mild winds & heavy winds by hinting at the occurrence of "Saihatun Wahida" which is "Sudden sound of frequency ranges" available in climate & may be operational in overloaded cases. It is high time for humanity to critically review its operations & impacts on climate as we are experiencing increased natural disasters, tornadoes, cyclones, volcanic activity & hurricanes. We are also facing the increased rates of suicides, unparalleled use of pain killers & narcotics, rapidly increasing cancers & strange diseases while our minds & bodies are exposed to man made frequencies for 24 hours a day without any time for our bodies to recover from unwelcome frequencies interacting with it. Probably we can not perfectly rest in our bed rooms even & result is loss of common sense, anxiety, depression, fatigue & evermore feelings of unease together with deadly weathers.
