  1. I hope these progressives can change the democratic party to be the common peoples party again . But I have my doubts . We should create are own party of the middle, working and lower classes . We are the majority . I don't like the term "left" . This implies an ideology which forces us to think and feel differently in out private lives . Lets leave ideology out and concentrate on a more equitable (fairer) distribution of wealth . Whether we a white , poor white hicks, blacks , ganstas, hispanic etc we of the middle, working and lower class have a hell of a lot in common when it comes to our material lives . We are working more hours for less . And i don't blame many for dropping out and selling drugs and making more in a half hour than they would flipping burgers or working as slaves for wall mart in 8 or more hours . Cost of living is high based on profit not supply and demand, etc . We are the majority and we must concentrate on getting a larger piece of the economic pie because we do the hardest work and many of us become disabled from these inhuman work schemes by the corporatists . Lets not change the way people think , lets unite because we have so much in common materially which is not enough to have a decent life . and also includes crackas and gangstas who should join us , the peoples party .

  2. How to live in an FDR's America again, you do not have to wait 40 years. Here are 2 ideas that I believe should be implemented. The first is the easiest, Save Money while saving America. Progressives should start or buy out a Bank or Savings and Loan followed by also starting an Insurance Company. Both entities would be Non Profit Membership Corporations. This would not only save 25 percent on your insurance but this would keep our money from going to Crony Capitalist to further destroy America. I would much rather buy everything I need from a Non profit Membership Corporation and not only save money but my country in the process. This idea only takes every Progressive organization joining together to form an Economic Block that speaks with one voice , in dollars. This seems like the easiest, least intrusive in peoples lives, way of fighting against the corruption.

The second idea is a very large ask, It is multifaceted but starts with finding out how many like minded Progressives it would take to seize control politically of a State, by moving Progressives there. Once Progressives take over the State Government we implement a Green New Deal and Middle Class job growth. We pass the " Sell it in our State, Make it in our State " Law.

Are either of the above 2 ideas to much to ask of the American people ? Americans yearning for FDR's America, plus improvements that have been proven out in other Countries and Justice added to a Justice System sounds like my kind of America. We can have our America back now, even save money doing it, we should pick a State and recreate what was stolen from us by the Robber Barons

  3. I think the Dem Party will NEVER be the progressive entity many want it to be. Also, the neolibs are Machiavellian schemers whose words should be taken with a sceptical grain of salt.

  4. MMT (modern monetary theory) has been in mainstream discussion lately and not one neoliberal economist has been able to sufficiently defend the current 40-yr. policy, which is based on lies and obfuscation because the goal has always been to destroy the middle class!

Today's economics students and graduates have been done a terrible disservice by not learning the truth about economics. They are not taught pluralism, economic history, nor do they discuss money, debt or banks!

“…If you look at mainstream economics there are three things you will not find in a mainstream economic model – Banks, Debt, and Money.

How anybody can think they can analyze capital while leaving out Banks, Debt and Money is a bit to me like an ornithologist trying to work out how a bird flies whilst ignoring that the bird has wings…”
    ― Steve Keen

“Economics students are forced to spend so much time with this complex calculus so that they can go to work on Wall St. that there’s no room in the course curriculum for the history of economic thought. So all they know about Adam Smith is what they hear on CNN news or other mass media that are a travesty of what these people really said and if you don’t read the history of economic thought, you’d think there’s only one way of looking at the world and that’s the way the mass media promote things and it’s a propagandistic, Orwellian way.

The whole economic vocabulary is to cover up what’s really happening and to make people think that the economy is getting richer while the reality is they’re getting poorer and only the top is getting richer and they can only get rich as long as the middle class and the working class don’t realize the scam that’s being pulled off on them.”
    ~ Michael Hudson

  5. Neoliberalism is the economic agenda to reduce the world to poverty because the middle class experiment threatens political narrative. The "threats" were demanding rights, environmental protections, ending illegal wars in the 60's decade. Creating a healthy society cuts into profits. This is why capitalism has failed the world. It depends on mass poverty and no protections to succeed and that's a problem.

  6. Double thumbs up. The greatest obstacle to progressive policies that actually help people are not the Republicans – they're the Corporate Democrats.

  7. I'm definitely not yet satisfied with this, but won't bother givining it a "thumbs down" or "dislike". Neo-lib. is no good. As for so-called progressives, this interview provides virtually no useful info. There might be some progressives who possibly have good ideas, but even the evil of the USA, et al, has also been progressive, very viciously and criminally. They progress faster than the rest of society, for they commit the worst crimes in this world, crimes that also happen to be illegal, but they've progressed to the point of treating themselves as if they're totally untouchable, whereas anyone else do the same thing and many people doing many minor things are treated as if they're criminals and need to be punished … under "law". Brad Det was Asst Sec. of Treasury during the Bill Clinton years and there's basically nothing good to speak of in that respect, for the whole Clinton era was only bad … for everyone; for most people anyway. Saying that someone is liberal, con., progressive doesn't mean much of anything, for it doesn't at all provide examples of how these others are lib., etc. Based on what I understood from this interview, it's worthless, a waste. Good and bad can of course both be progressive; as well as lib. and con. I won't want to blindly accept politics. We have it because we don't really have a choice about whether we have it or not, at a govt level anyway.

  8. Jimmy Dore is suporting AOC and Cenk who are commies. Thats basically Hitler supporting Stalin invading Poland. If Brad de Long is the implementator of Clinton economic fraud as Bill say then Brad should be jailed for life.

  9. Never forget that people can turn a whole new leaf like Clinton's lead neoliberal economist Brad DeLong . But just to be safe we the people got to always keep our eyes open . If De Long is embraced and appointed by the left , then we have to say whoa, no deal ! Yes De Long is right about the new left taking over the democratic party , but no way should we trust De Long to be a part of it . curb your optimism , always be sceptical .

  10. Sorry so long…🤔🤔Neolibs/corp dems INCLUDING Brad DeLong weren't "conned" or "played" by "crazy", right-wing conservative republicans like Bill Black is stating here. By DeLong's own admission, they've played along.🤥 He makes it clear that he doesn't want to coalesce with progressives but instead step back and let progressives "lead" the fight for justice until neolibs feel it's "their time" to step back in.😲😵 Unacceptable!😡 This was nothing more than an ass-kissing infomercial for DeLong. "DeLong is brilliant"??🙄🙄 C'mon. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's going on here. DeLong and Black are both disingenuous and I'm sure we'll be hearing more from them as time "progresses".😆 Look! I made a joke. 😂😆

  11. Bernie is a sell-out – a sheeple-herder that never intended to win. He was a gatekeeper for Hillary because she is AIPAC-beloved and he is an Israel-firster. He threw his supporters under the bus as they told him in real time that the nomination was being stolen. He's part of the con, and the sooner we realize this, the better off we'll be. Vote Third Party (REAL third parties, not the Bernie Sanders' kind).

  12. Coming to the same conclusions here, however I think their may be civil war before changes take place. I think it will become the east-west game. Wouldn't suprise me to see them split it right down the Mississippi River and play hardball. Trump can really get that base fired up with propaganda. I'm thinking China, India, & Russia will have to call US,ME, & Israel on our warmongering BS. I'm thinking that happens after a reset/debt jubilee, other wise it's wwIII.
Hopefully God smiles and opens a new chapter on humanity.

  13. I think you have read him wrong…from the vox interview..
    Zack Beauchamp
So the position is not that neoliberals should abandon their policy beliefs. It’s that you need to reorient your understanding of who your coalition is.
    Brad DeLong
Yes, but that’s also relevant to policy beliefs, right?
