Thomas, a Texas firefighter, was driving in Denton County when he was suddenly pulled over by local sheriffs. Despite being completely sober, he quickly found himself railroaded into a DUI charge by police, who claimed he appeared “slow” and “heavy footed.” Body camera footage has since revealed that the arresting officers even commented during the arrest that they did not believe Thomas was drunk. So why was Thomas arrested, and what does this reveal about the capricious nature of police power? Police Accountability Report examines the evidence.

  1. This is heartbreaking!!! The loss of job, friends (and their trust and connections), money, and the inconvenience and stress that can wreck havoc on one’s physical and mental health is a devastating cost so that police can fill a quota. The cavalier attitude of the cops as they banter on about how to ruin this guy’s life for no reason was horrifying. Sick, sick, sick! I am so very sorry he went through all of this and am amazed by his sweetness despite all that.

  2. I found that male cop hard to understand too; am I the only one who noticed he had some type of speech impediment?

  3. Save your worthless comments…this man needed an attorney that will sue Denton! How can this police behavior be allowed to continue? The justice department needs to be called for help!

  4. I have had 6 retina detachments, 5 of those in in ten months… my eyes look screwy all the time, I don't even want to talk about my balance…..

  5. Why was 2 different officers giving instructions during the test? Im always told its the intial contact officer or the closest dui trained officer

  6. This is an example of police corruption being exposed. The fire department is guilty of a wrongfull termination of this man. I hope he has been rehired with backpay due as he was a victim of police misconduct & fraud.

  7. Hello I have wrote to you many times and no response but here I am writing again I go to work everyday and NYPD follows me from work to how this has been going on for year's called is I have about a 100 calling to is NYPD never call me back with no information about my complain at this point don't no what to do I have film of it

  8. that is why if you have not had alcoholic drinks and they stop you and want to do a test like this. Refuse it. Test like that is subjective and the older someone is the less balance they will have due to age related wear and tear on your joints. Have them do breath and blood test.

  9. A p!g can charge you with dui whenever they want. And if you refuse the insane tests, which is your right. The corrupt dmv will punish you

  10. Found a victim, then looked for a crime to pin on him and his dog. Both the innocent human and the innocent dog ended up in cages of the prison industrial complex for no reason. Let us know if he sues and how it goes. He needs to be reinstated in his job and the county should be ordered to throw a party 🎉🎶 welcoming him back to employment. (No alcohol, of course)

  11. 26:00 What he should practice is knowing his rights. He doesn't have to and shouldn't consent to field sobriety tests in the first place, so there's no need to prepare for them.

  12. 21:13 I've gotten a pet peeve about this because of anti-vaxxers, so I feel compelled to point out that it doesn't seem like he actually knows what HIPAA is since it doesn't deny anyone the right to ask questions about anyone's health information. In any case there's no need to bring it up because there's no legal requirement to tell them anything more than your name, address and date of birth.

  13. “When the police willfully break the law on video and then deny the event in writing, you know that you are dealing with a blatantly corrupt group of people.”
    ― Steven Magee

  14. This is Exactly what happens when Communities support and give tacit approval to Police Abuse of marginalized communities and their members . Over time eventually the verbal abuse, excessive force and injustice is extended to every and All members of the community, no matter the circumstance. You support the Blue until it happens to you. 👀😳🤪

  15. I am in shock of what they did to a public servant who did nothing wrong. I feel so bad. Please sue them.

  16. The last case if she gets ssi more than likely her 3 current kids get a check because if her being on the ssi and her twins coming up will also recieve one atleast that's what happened with my kids for 2 years when I became disabled and they reached 18

  17. DUI's have become the cash cow, from arresting cops to the end of the line charges of paying to reinstate your right to drive, and paying higher insuances forever, yes the crime is bad but its to good of a payoff for all to stop the applying tactics to get the charge noted and beginning the payoffs.

  18. Very frustrating video. All your rhetoric and self advertising with NO information on follow-up of the DWI false arrest.

  19. When you see people looting and rioting, remember this video. Zero accountability for rogue police means people who are backed into a corner are driven to desperation. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. American institutions are not working for us ordinary folks anymore, they are working to keep us ordinary people fearful for our lives and livelihoods to consolidate the power of the upper caste.

  20. I hope this guy gets a Lot to compensate for the totally corrupt and illegal actions of these lying, thugs with guns.
We need Complete police reform! And until that day, we need to take ALL lawsuit payouts from these incompetent, corrupt cops actions from the police retirement fund instead of making taxpayers pay for their mistakes and unlawful behaviour…I’m Sure that repercussion would make “officers” think twice before breaking the law and infringing on innocent citizens rights.

  21. As a 59 year old I just tried some of these tests and would likely have failed. I'm strong enough to construction at the moment. Fuck these tests
