Cops wanted to make her a felon, but missed a key piece of evidence – Everything Law and Order Blog

Michelle Lucas, a community activist and grandmother of four, was devastated when she was charged with two felonies for allegedly passing a counterfeit bill. Our investigation uncovered evidence that forced prosecutors to admit the police had made a mistake and had an unexpected impact on her case. 1. That's a Secret Service issue, She should have called the Secret Service and said the local deputy dogs are pretending to be fed agents.

  2. COPS HAVE NOTHING TO DO — THAT IS WHY THEY PICK ON ANY PERSON WHO THEY SEE AS VULNERABLE — A LOT EASIER THAN INVESTIGATION ANY CRIME.

  3. When people truly understand the immense power of the State through its injustices, they know intuitively that the State must be dismantled.

  4. Taya, you summed up in those two words, "pointedly cruel," what has made me so angry when I've watched sooooooo many videos of police, and DAs, infliction of obvious hate and racism on the average citizen. It is truly outrageous! Your summation to the Somerset police is incredible! And while you live in Maryland, I hate to disparage your State, but I have also lived there and personally experienced the horrible malfeasance of the police, the courts, and the lawyers. So glad I don't live there anymore but with that realization in my back pocket, I truly commend you for staying, sticking it out, and reporting on it!

  5. Passing a counterfeit note ALONE is not criminal. It MUST be done with the INTENT to defraud. Intent is a PART of every counterfeit statute.

  6. Don't write that they 'missed' anything. They wrote it down themselves. They just want to arrest/attack, and she was the most vulnerable target they found. Cops don't care about guilty/innocent, and they sure as hell won't investigate anything for a normal person.
