  1. "Economics students are forced to spend so much time with this complex calculus so that they can go to work on Wall St. that there’s no room in the course curriculum for the history of economic thought. So all they know about Adam Smith is what they hear on CNN news or other mass media that are a travesty of what these people really said and if you don’t read the history of economic thought, you’d think there’s only one way of looking at the world and that’s the way the mass media promote things and it’s a propagandistic, Orwellian way.

The whole economic vocabulary is to cover up what’s really happening and to make people think that the economy is getting richer while the reality is they’re getting poorer and only the top is getting richer and they can only get rich as long as the middle class and the working class don’t realize the scam that’s being pulled off on them.” ~ Michael Hudson

  2. While we're on the subject of de-neoliberalizing economic policy, we need to stop using Thatcher's Orwellian doublespeak. It's not "taxpayer dollars"; it's public money authorized by Congress created ex nihilo (out of thin air), just like the private banks do. Taxes do not fund spending at the federal level. MMT explains this.

This is the most clear concise description of how the economy really works, not the worn out lies that people like Mitch McConnell keep repeating:

  3. I want to go to the bottom of the totem pole. Being a bookkeeper it is imperative that every penny be accounted for in the workings of a Corporation, what happens is that they will include their houses as a tax break therefore a benefit of having their homes paid courtesy of the Corporation, vacation written off as a business trip even worse, it was my understanding through the information given to me by a Chartered Accountants that your earnings had to be justified by the amount of work you do for the Corporation, sitting on top of the world does not come close to earning those huge earnings just because your a director or even an owner of the Corporation, then once the company starts making a profit they are given dividends among shareholders and they pay appropriate taxes based on the amount earned. IT is thievery of the highest level. Then they use the slave business to ensure they make big time money.

  4. Neo-liberalism and global corporate capitalism: Turn the vast majority of tax payers into a servant class for the elites. If they resist move work to other regions where they are happy not to starve. Thats about 40 years of recent history explained.

  5. You will never fix ANYTHING in this country until the money is forced out of politics, no donations from anyone!
A short simple tax funded election cycle based on publicly accessible debates at all local & national levels that are also televised, with mandatory reviews at the end of political terms in front of a grand jury- any politician caught doing illegal corrupt activity gets 5 – 10 years hard labor, bribing or attempting to bribe politicians get the perpetrators assets nationalized with full transparency.

You can change anything as long as the lawmakers are bought and paid for and lack of money is a barrier to running for office. Only can we address a whole host of other issues.

  6. And this is why so many people are not informed. This speaker is telling the people how corporations are screwing us and a thousand people are the only ones that take the time to listen to it

  7. When companies get tax breaks, they immediately lay off workers-because workers are employed solely to absorb the companies tax liability. Lower tax liability for business means less need for tax paying employees

  8. The equation is irrefutable. How, why does this thing get air time to state the obvious. And how is it not part of the problem in doing so. For 300 years it's been the same exact ideology, that has produced the exact same destruction….social, economical, political, and most importantly environmental. Talking fucking heads.

  9. Simplify the tax code, tax privileges only, land and intellectual property rights, tax public bads not public goods ie the right to pollute (pigouvian taxes) .
Publish all data on an open public database.
    No exemptions, no subsidies.

  10. Companies that play states off each other should just be nationalized and assigned to a location based on a fairness formula. If they are hat-in-handing the public via "auctions", maybe their business model isn't otherwise viable.

  11. @Greg Leroy remember those Liberal cow eyes that stared at you while you made these statements. They could nod their heads while chewing their cud but did you convince them to go on strike? No, no you didn't. They become happier with their 1st class chains with each detail of horror you list. They will keep clocking in and checking their poorfolio during company hours on a company internet connection watching the horizon for benifets packages. What kind of bonuses do your 'victim's have to offer?

  12. Here are some weapons of mass destruction invented by the US. its soo sickening, i can never understand. you must have a very dark twisted mind to name these weapons after Native Tribes that were outright liquidated in their own land and completely wiped off the face of this planet.. "Black Hawk, Grey Eagle, Apache, Comanche, the Kiowa, the Lakota, the Chinook and Tomahawk -cruise missiles." …. i mean even the Nazis didn't do such a thing that can't even be put into words. it's the equivalency of the Nazis calling their weapons Jews and Gypsies instead V1's and V2's rockets .. smh.

  13. More people need to see this to combat those who continue to fight and support those in power, for some odd reason. Forgot the name of that condition where a person who's been kidnapped falls in love or joins their kidnapper. But yea, that. I find myself debating with my college educated friends, yet they fail to see the absolute shit show going on in our country. I'm losing friends and having people deem me insane or a conspiracy theorist, however at the age of 27, I don't want to be 70 years old looking back wondering why I stayed silent.

  14. Money is a nothing thing. It produces greed, abhorrence, scarcity, and poverty. Without this myth from antiquity we faithfully cling to, printed to paper and metal that is evaporating into a digital currency into oblivion. Humanity will be enslaved into a new world order of one world inverted totalitarian government, army, and perpetual war against its adversary of cultural activism. You'll see.
