  1. This all wouldn't have happened, if Republicans in House and Senate (along with some right-wing Democrats) wouldn't have passed the PROMESA Act, if I'm correct. (although it was also wrong for Obama not to veto it)

  2. Give me a break Puerto Rico has been corrupted for decades this is nothing new plus they are the only people who struggled after the storm look at St Vincent St Croix they never received no loot
So stop acting like you people are so special you selfish bastards

  3. I am unemployed after forced layoff. With the help, suggestions, physical support of my fellow poor Americans in Puerto Rico, I can be Governor. Puerto Rico does not need a millionaire or billionaire to tell the Puerto Rican people what they need or want; in order to live a good and full life. Raise your right hands if you want me as Puerto Rico's servant, listening to you, and you helping me to get what you need. God bless you!!

  4. It's ironic that with so many federal funds diverted to the pockets of local politicians, PR Federal Attorney is simply mute and blind. The same is evident with PR Secretary of Justice acting as Rosello's personal lawyer and no indictments have been made with regard to diverted local funds badly needed for recovery after hurricane Maria.

  5. To fix this world we need a global revolt of the citizens of the world and that the arm forces peacefully stand aside and stand down in support.

  6. Puerto Rico needs independence and a different, more democratic form of government. Hopefully this time they will get it, being a colony sucks and in my experience boricuas deserve better.

  7. You can be sure the Israelis are involved in supplying the corrupt regime of Governor Rossello with all the tools of repression to be used against the protestors. In fact, the Israelis are actively involved all thru South America supporting the corrupt regimes that came into power by questionable undemocratic means.

  8. As the 50% working poor are kept enslaved by the more intelligent upper-half of society being so greed driven as to hoard all the land, wealth, political power and healthcare, is not race and class nothing more than a smokescreen hiding the real issue?

  9. You do a story on how corrupt government is, and the next story will be how we should give more money to the government and let them control more of our lives. Bizarre

  10. Never seen more than 2 men protesting… how ignorant. Pretty clear that the media in the US are only paying attention now because they can spin this against Puerto Rico. There have been huge protests against the USA imposed fiscal control board- a modern colonial entitity created by people who have and continue to illegally benefit off of Puerto rico. Read up on Whitefish and what it did in Puerto Rico, owned by Trump's buddies, also protested against. The USA continues to benefit off of Puerto Rico while perpetuating a racist mindset- in truth, the US has never given even an equal amount of money to Puerto Rico than Puerto Rico has to the US.read up about the "ley de cabotaje." Not to mention decades of US repression and abuse against the island, read up on the Ponce Massacre. But its to be expected when people from the US continue to repress the true natives of their country- the native americans.

  11. Unity with diversity, United, can remove the Municipal Corporation in Washington DC*, and its U.N*. handler ; that corporation is lying when telling the World it is the* legal Government of this nation. It has been Involved with most "bad cop" destabilization of nations Worldwide. Using the CIA. Taking its orders from Vatican Rome. Joel 2:11/Matthew 24:20-22 Isaiah 55:11 God never lies

  12. And where is that worthless NYC Puerto Rican (D) Rep Alexandera Ocasio Cortez? I forgot Alexandera Ocasio Cortez is more concerned in illegal immigrant issues, and not her people on the island.

  13. Mainland Americans should take inspiration from the way our countrymen in Puerto Rico are protesting there. General strikes in particular can apply the kind of immense, sustained political pressure that gets results, along with massive civil disobedience. We on the mainland should be paying more attention to their leadership and replicating these strategies EVERYWHERE.

  14. Americans in US Territories are second-class Americans — they are like US colonies. More power to the people of Puerto Rico.

  15. This kind of behavior is everywhere including the main land U.S . To pretend this only happened in the United States Territories is false.
