  1. Don't confuse too many people moving to & living in the desert SW with AGW. This women is just a technocrat Admin, nothing to see here.

  2. at 1:53 in the near future, that will be literal. you are going to see real war for water. droughts everywhere plus hundreds of thousands of gallons used for fracking & then can't be re-used for anything because it's too toxic. it's coming. get ready.

  3. Colorado river supplies the water to seven states, California, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
    It's not just Colorado problem

  4. The Southwestern desert region should never have been settled en mass. The engineering needed to supply its cities and people with water is mind boggling…and so is the cost to tax payers to prop up an unsustainable artificial civilization. No desert civilization, with the exception of Egypt, has survived for long. Read 'Cadillac Desert' by Mark Reisner, a scientist who has studied the way water is supplied in the western states. A city like Phoenix or Vegas in the middle of the desert is simply unsustainable. Its lifespan is a few hundred years at most and the cost for its upkeep , both financially and to the natural environment, is immense. This is not new news and Reisner wrote his book in the 1980s. The bottom line is our wasteful and out of sync way of life is doomed to failure and we can't defer the inevitable blowback forever. This video is weak…head in the sand thinking.

  5. Cities build in the desert are non sustainable. They should not be allowed to get new inhabitants and should be abandoned, step by step.

  6. If their supposedly capable of creating rain then why don’t they? And on top that isn’t it still illegal to collect rain water lol. How about these politics stop and let’s get the solutions implemented. Big business loves to talk about risk management but don’t just get to the point a get ppl on the same page. Stop worrying about cost. We literally create the cost. We determine what value is so what’s the hold up besides getting the ppl on the same page worldwide. Now that the system that was put in place is crumbling but we could’ve been working on fixing it a long time ago. Let these corporations take over fo so long and look what happens. Same shyt ever empire. When are huemans going to learn. Or are we just going to keep repeating the same mistakes when it comes to building civilizations.

  7. I Shared on google+: This drying up of land is not a natural occurrence, 8:43 shows the water level on its banks., I would like to see a survey on those who walk, if they have experienced the sense of drunkenness, a dizziness that comes about when you least expect it, as if all of a sudden your going towards one side, what I suspect would be a wobble in the earth axis, only those with their feet on the ground would notice it. I have noticed, and I associated it with my brain injury but I know there is more to it, as it is an abnormal happening, my brain injury happened in 2015 therefore associating it with that would make no sense. The other day according to news we had HUGE tides that were never seen before, the tides are associated with the moon changes and its gravitational pull of our waters, I don't know but a serious look into this would be needed, I felt it someone out there had to feel it too.

  8. Red states however deny there is a drought, and encourage the citizens of their states to waste water at every opportunity. Florida has so many laws and regulations requiring the planting and maintenance of water hogging landscape plants on small areas of ground, like between lanes of streets. Pretty but the practical aspect is missing. Sprinklers are always broken and spew water anywhere but on the ground near a plant. Then plants die and require replacement. Florida does not have this water. If they built a separate water line using Lake Okeechobee water, the plants would be watered and fertilized at the same time! But Florida just mandates that the people will use what little water is left in a broken system.

  9. Your not heading towards you haven't got 100 years or a future We now have huge volumes of methane venting into our atmosphere up tp 100 times more warming power than co2 north pole around 50 degrees higher than normal c02 levels higher than any time in the last 800.000 years.
people open your eyes . just go google maps have a look at the melting permafrost in the arctic circle
corporations / capitalism / corruption /greed /stupidity of those in charge has brought us to this/ To just have a small chance to survive we must stop emitting co2 and come up with ways of removing co2 from our atmosphere NOW not 1.2.3.4.5.years NOW.
And were not. welcome to your very own extinction.
OH and next time your talking to the board of exon mobil BP shell etc tell them their cunts

  10. Our Federal government led by the infamous Mr. Trump is bankrupt in any ideas about how to deal with the drought and wildfires in the west. Raking leaves and underbrush doesn't fix the water needs of the SW USA. Make America Great Again should mean making America Green Again. Life requires water. Wake the F up blowhard DCites and money launderers.

  11. Sono decenni che le lobby desertificano tutti gli stati dove c'è acqua per le bevande che sono deleterie per l'uomo. La terza guerra mondiale sarà per questo problema!

  12. In 1996, during the opening of Phase II of the Great Man-Made River Project, Gaddafi said:
This is the biggest answer to America and all the evil forces who accuse us of being concerned with terrorism. We are only concerned with peace and progress. America is against life and progress; it pushes the world toward darkness.
“The wars of the 21st century will be fought over water”.

  13. No green lawns or pools?! No no no! Which third world country do we need to exploit to get my lawn green and keep it that way!

  14. The biggest waster of water is the the meat diet. Every 1/4 pound hamburger takes 660 gallons of water to produce. Going to a vegan diet is the biggest way each person can cut there water usage. Going vegan also the best way to mitigate climate change. Animal foods production is the biggest contributor of green house gases at 51% Accounts for 90% of deforestation, and biggest cause of ocean dead zones. Every pound of meat produced also uses on average one gallon of petroleum to ship, refrigerate, and process. Go Vegan for the future of humanity, and improve your own health while doing it.

  15. Stop supporting the elite by approving of their global plunder of so called "resources" while soiling and polluting everything while taking everything to exhaustion
