My wife works at UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS HOSPITAL and she told me since Jan when I brought up china announced that it was bad they dont have proper inventory of PPE and masks and recently have made her dept travel to the main campus to check everyone including employees temperature at the door,without any gloves or masks, with an under the tongue thermometer with disposable sleeves. They are not using the no touch forehead thermometers that you see overseas…they turn away the ones who refuse to allow reuse of thermometers. They havent communicated any plan or new guidance for her to make decisions for the work week. They told her time off is unpaid and our children's school is closed for the rest of the year and state of emergency by KS…the bill signed March 17th should include her but theyve never responded to her messages about it
