  1. Trump's corruption was obvious to me: Puerto Rico electric utility awards $300 million contract to tiny Trump-connected company : Ties to the Trump administration and lack of experience are drawing attention to Puerto Rico’s decision to award a $300-million contract to a tiny Montana company to reconstruct a large portion of the island’s electrical infrastructure.
Whitefish Energy Holdings reached an agreement with Puerto Rico’s government-owned electric utility on September 26 — five days after Hurricane Maria left the island in the dark — to help restore power to the island’s 3.4 million residents. The company had only two full-time employees and an annual revenue of $1 million before Maria hit Puerto Rico.

  2. Just a suggestion, no one better articulates the fleecing of Puerto Rico by the banks than Juan Gonzales. Might try to get him on The Real News.

  3. Puerto Rico should declare itself an independant state .
Hold a referendum but keep the Americans out of it .
The people , under the UN Charter , should be allowed to choose their own way forwards America will only drag them backwards .

  4. So, we the people of the United States, and others around the world, can get together and crowdfund a movement to identify Puerto Rican organizations that want to work on the recovery, and assist them to get the attention and support they need to have the recovery funds diverted to them.

    No????

  5. FEMA is quick to discredit the death tolls. I wonder what their numbers are…🐒
It's time for Puerto Rico to renegotiate the Commonwealth status…we need more control of our island's commercial trade n political empowerment…

  6. more than 100yrs as a U.S. colony. The people of PR deserve reparations and true democracy. they have been second class citizens dying in foreign conflicts for too long. just a humble opinion.
