Everyone benefits from public media, but nobody talks about funding it – Everything Law and Order Blog

As the world of digital media becomes more and more saturated, it’s harder than ever for left-leaning independent media to make an impact. TRNN Editor-in-Chief Maximillian Alvarez talks to journalist Laura Flanders, who interviews forward-thinking people about the key questions of our time, about the importance of independent media’s mission to deliver us to one another.

  1. suggestions from the peanut gallery.. Put up a pay wall during live events. Podcasts, whatever… when people are triggered, they will donate! not sure why this is not a thing with RNN.. Taya and Stephen should be front and centre every day.. build a studio .. RNN videos, don't reach young enough audience., all of us 35- whatever are not going to excite the base.

  2. Laura Flanders great ! yet F**K mainstream media. It's finished (including these so called independent ones). In less than 20 or 30 years, all such bullshit jobs will be done with – All such distribution of information (as biased and as packaged with shit muzak) will be useless. Digital Media is not even media. The world will be rid of these speculation machines and their economy of attention. F**K This

  3. Since Bernays nailed that consent can be manufactured like Ford manufactures cars, the corporations know their control depends on owning media. Who owns Govt?
The people no longer have a Govt that serves them. Or a media that serves them. USA today.
Pity, when the Govt could just print the money to build an independent media today.
That $20B the Dems just tacked on top of defence spending this year could have been spent on enlightening people at home rather than bombing people abroad.
Claim your $20B guys. Make that the pledge, demand, revolt. We want our $20B. And we want it now!

  4. Speaking of independent media – it was announced this morning that today is Krystal's and Saagar's last day on Rising on the Hill. Wonder what it all means for them and all of us! Max, always appreciated your voice as a guest on Rising. And thanks for discussing the topic – this important type of media.

  5. Nobody's talking about it because nobody has any money or power. You should petition our overlords, but they won't even give us health care, so good luck.

  6. If success is cheap, every one wovld has been successful if the road to success was straight many would have been enjoying success long ago, but am sorry. Its not.! If your expecting your dreams to come cheaply. Then you need a change of mind. Success is not for people who give up easily it's not for lazy people who give excusess success come from people who are dedicated. Committed and ready to give their dreams and all it take to be fullflied. So I can ask again? What manner of person I you? Some who give up easily it's easily, or some ready to fight through the bad day to earn the days? Think about it.

  7. Great conversation. I wonder though, if public media gets a new push in the United States, how does that impact independent media like LF and TRNN?

  8. It'll be talked about among Corporate Media… Because they'll spend Billions to make sure it's never talked about anywhere else.😒
