  1. Bill Black is one of my favorite truth hunters/ tellers. I would also content that modern Germany started down the road of corruption by exerting strong influence in the creation process of the EURO. The EURO, as is, greatly benefited stronger currencies like the Deutsche Mark by providing a comparative advantage for exports. That may have pushed German industry to cut corners in order to beat Asian & American exporters, all the while crushing weaker European manufacturing. It's a tangled web that, I think, only heightens global anxiety & tensions.

  2. Up until mid 2013 I worked at a VW dealership as a technician in the US, so just before this "scandal" happened. In my time at the dealership I saw some PDI (pre delivery inspection) vehicles (gasoline) from other manufacturers set off pollution detectors and never once we saw this happen with a VW TDI. Right around that time (2013) Chevy was coming out with their Cruze diesel model and this happened shortly after? Coincidence? I think not. What better way to eliminate the competition…
Back in 2015 Panorama did an independent report on this VW scandal and they independently tested one of the affected vehicles (Passat 2.0 TDI) and during the normal testing procedure the vehicle passed the emissions test, but during the modified test it failed the test by less than 2.5x the allowed limit, not over 40x like it was being reported initially. At the same time they also tested an Opel (GM) Zafira with a 1.6 diesel and it failed the normal test, then during the modified test procedure it failed so badly that the technician performing the test said it was outside the equipment measurement range.
About a year later (2016) the German ADAC tested all the manufacturers and VW came in 3rd place if I'm not mistaken as some of the cleanest.

  3. The worst part is that VW after this scandal said they lay down close to 10.000 worker here in Germany because they have to save money. I realy hope this assholes go to jail.

  4. CEOs going to jail? Maybe In Germany. But really only ten years for making millions off the destruction of the climate? I’ve seen people around go to jail for longer for weed

  5. would you rather have a gasoline engine that busts into flame if in a accident or a diesel fuel engine that is safe and does not catch fire easily? i would rather have diesel. if pollution is the problem, then stop running container cargo ships from china to the usa. one ship running diesel fuel from china to the united states pollutes the environment with NO equal to all the cars in the world on a single day. check it out and multiply that by 5000 ships.

  6. Great guest – entertaining and knowledgeable.
I know you wanted him to stay on topic about VW, but PLEASE bring him on again and let him talk about whatever he wants.
His enthusiasm is catching and we need to better understand the scope and impact of corporate corruption.

  7. Not only chemicals in sky as a result of nanotechnologies, gmo and gliphosates in agriculture and unhealthy vaccines that kill people children, microplastics in sea, antibiotics and hormons in meat,….I agree that Germans are no better than others, they are corrupted as others.
