In the latest episode of the Police Accountability Report we discuss an arrest caught on tape which seems to diverge from the account given by officers, and discuss if it’s possible for police to police themselves

  1. I WANT to believe this officer, I truly do… but there is entirely TOO MUCH EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY!!!
If there are so many officers that WANT to do good and really make a change…. then why aren't those officers banning together and going to their union and MAKING THAT CHANGE!??

  2. The simple FACT that this whole case is being COVERED UP…. just goes to SHOW that the ENTIRE SYSTEM is CORRUPT!!!! and ANY and ALL involved are complicit!!!

  3. I am sick of hearing that police need training. They ARE trained. They choose to do whatever they want. The community have NO trust in the police, and for good reason. Cops are not the most intelligent, but it’s not rocket science that someone can’t breathe when they are on top of them, esp when they have watched it happen time after time in the media. What is it that they don’t understand that people are resisting, or trying to flee because they are petrified that they are going to be beaten or shot

  4. the first young man was fighting for his life against these thugs, unfortunately he lost,
the second was a home invasion terrifing the mother and beating up her young son
and all the cops lying. how many more of these videos do we have to watch
before something is done, the ex cop thinks the system is ok no surprise there
how many people have died, after calling the cops for assistance

  5. Your former detective is correct in that this is not Constitutional policing. He's dead wrong in that that's "not how we train our officers". It's exactly how they're trained, they may attend token kumbaya classes but they laugh about that "bull-shit" as they walk away. They're told to do whatever they want and the State will have their backs. He's nothing but a red-herring, literally playing "good cop". "The system works.", nothing can be further from the truth. Any system, such as policing, which judges its members illegal conduct from within is doomed to wind up like we see now, over and over. We must demand direct accountability to the people.

  7. Hes an ignorant to think the problem is not systemic. It happens in all the departments across the country in major city's its not a personnel problem its a system the laws are vague to allow this problems to be sweept under the rug and persist the bad cop get promoted while the good ones get reprimanded or terminated

  8. These people (police) have to save the status quo: confidence in the police and the justice. But here the problem starts: the justice system is flawed, the police is racist and the state supports it.

  9. I think that it is important to involve those who have been or who are in law enforcement, like the detective in this segment, in these conversations. People like this man understand what is going on in the police departments and why. Men and woman like these need to lead the charge to clean up our police departments.
We need our police… I don't think that many people want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. What really needs to happen is real reform that is based on professionalism and the truth. Police covering for corrupt cops is a huge problem. And there are many stories out there that show how police who refuse to do this are singled-out, terrorized and pushed-out of their department by those who protect each other no matter what the scenario. This HAS to stop.

  10. All this involved in the murder and the cover up should be tried in public square by the family and hung by the neck until dead if found guilty.

Stop saying they need training!! There is no training needed. They were trying to escalate this situation to murder him from the beginning.

The white woman or whoever who called the cops should be tried the same way too.

  11. You see, the ones that are doing these things are decendents of former slave owners. Why are they even policing us. Government orchrastrated. Their time is up.

  12. High income inequality creates social/economically a predator/prey system, making the police predators to the most vulnerable, especially if you are poor or Black.

  13. They r all racist. White supremacists run law enforcement, the courts, etc. These vile actions have no place in society, and these officers should all receive the same treatment they gave to this young black man…

  14. i appreciate trevor's work, but this system is broken and cant be fixed, it needs to be torn down and built from scratch.

  15. Its a personal officer situation?! Not the system? The cops want things to work out but can't due to lack of policy? Bullshit.

  16. What you do in the dark will eventually be revealed in the light…..the police unions need to be included in and sue right along with all police abuse/ murder law suits…..also,, the police dept. is not concerned with how they appear to the public let along, whether or not we trust them…..this is not a training issue it's a moral and in a lot of cases, race issue.

  17. The lies are enough. According to the LAW a police officer that commits perjury, or lies, isn't fit for office–and is lawfully banned from being a police officer…..JUST applying that one provision would PURGE most of the rotten cops (which I conclude is all of them)..they all falsify police reports–they do it as a standard practice.

  18. This is really interesting psychology, people are standing by and watching as police murder their kids. That is completely unnatural behavior and remarkable conditioning.
