  1. "We had single-handedly won World War II. The Russians don't agree … without their land-armies, we would not have liberated Europe … so the Russians paid a great cost in life and treasure … as they like to say …" as if the Russians were delusional about the 10's of Millions of Russians who died ; The Red Army, escorting the German Army back to Berlin and being the first at The Bunker.

Vidal is really contradicting himself & history. His usual self-possession and arrogant-tone, superceding history.

"The Red Army tore the guts out of the German Army". — Churchill —

More than one military leader has said that victories in War cannot be won by Air-Power alone ; Land-Victories are the decisive factors which makes sense, even to layman, like me ( and I'm not even a good layman ).

Why Vidal blows-off this fact, in one breath :: "The Russians wouldn't agree" and in the next breath :: admits they ( The United States ), wouldn't have been able to liberate Europe without that land-victory by the Russians.

( There were Armies from all over the World [ many inducted from the Colonial-Control of Britain and France ] that helped "liberate" Europe. )

The United States entered the War late — refused to unite with The USSR as Stalin had tried a number of times to form a Coalition with Britain and France and the United States … his offers were ignored.

The United States and Britain formed that Coalition when it became convenient for them to try, in earnest, to defeat Germany. They knew that The USSR was vital for that defeat.

  2. Well Rockefellers owned Saudi ARAMCO, and Roosevelt's were Dutch Jews I thought. Dutch banks were where the smart Nazi's had their money, the Swiss Banks had to pay reparations. Bush's knew all along what was going on. It was a capitalist blood letting game. Jews were sacrificing some of their own to fulfill their scripture.

  3. I disagree with Gore Vidal on his portrayal of Roosevelt as being ideologically anti-colonialist, it seems absurd considering the colonial possession of Puerto Rico and the newly acquired colonies in the Pacific after the war. It seems to me like this was merely a facade to disarm his "allies" and reduce their future capabilities of being able to challenge the U.S.

  4. I just fell head o9ver heels in love with that mans stunning intellect5 ! Have read some of his work over the years , but this interview just floors me with the scope he can provide and the ability to appreciate nuance of these characters , thats with out this voice we woudl not be able to appreciate. Please Good Sir find someone to lead us forward in this group of young people !!!

  5. How did TheReal News Network know to run this? Did they know Assange was going to be grabbed and what book he would be carrying? Big fan of Gore's by the way.
