The prosecution of a progressive marijuana activist for livestreaming an encounter with a congressman’s aide during a protest shows how the criminal justice system can be easily used as a tool for political retaliation and ideological warfare.

Did prosecutors silence a progressive activist under the guise of enforcing an obscure law? That’s the issue PAR explores as we look at the case of a pot legalization activist who was charged with two felonies for livestreaming an encounter with a conservative congressman’s aide during a protest. 1. you can fight that and win. first, the amendment overrides the silly state laws. Three Mile Island incident, the photographer was told he could not film inside the facility, but he did it anyway and captured a disaster in the process. That opened up an investigation that saved the lives of thousands of people,

  2. DAs are into grandstanding and convictions, NOT justice. They are the enemy of the people, with the cops as their overpaid goons.

  3. Law makers are actually Law breakers…
    Tactics of intimidation and fear.
They only fear what they do and say if they are recorded.

  4. Corrupt Judges join fascist Police in creating a third world Police State. America's Democracy is doomed by this fascist trend.

  5. I'll bet activist, as he calls himself, would have prosecuted Andy Harris on the highest level possible. After all he has made his purpose known. To fight against the right, because Andy Harris is far right. Me personal view is if they are a public servant, we should be able to record them anytime they're working. Or are in public and addressing the public. Malicious prosecution should be taken as serious as the judicial system takes serious killing a cop. I don't feel sorry for this kid. He was in that office and he was there to jam up those far righties. I know he would have hammered his political opponents. All those involved in this Malicious prosecution of a seemingly unconstitutional arrest and state laws should be jailed. No qualified immunity for anyone. This kids, us against them perspective, being a progressive activist as he mentioned like an indoctrinated freedom hating tyrant. He's a big part of our problem here

  6. Can we talk about the corrupt gold digging prosecutor in the vp seat of the white house next? I think i went to school with him actually, small world.

  7. Lesson's learned, if you KNOW you have a good case, submit your motion for a quick and speedy trial. The prosecutor has 180 days to bring the case to trail from the time you submit your motion (ref: § 6-103 of the Criminal Procedure Article for Maryland).
