He refused to follow a cop’s illegal order and police have made his life hell ever since – Everything Law and Order Blog

Police demanded that a visually impaired passenger show them his identification, even though he was just sitting in a car. His refusal led to probation, monitoring, a $50,000 bail, and a relentless legal battle. But at the root of this story is the question of police power: how they wield it and why we grant it to them. A Police Accountability Report investigation into the unfettered growth of law enforcement overreach in rural America. Please join journalists Taya Graham and Stephen Janis for this important episode of the Police Accountability Report!

  1. Most pigs think that their above the law, are pigs ever held accountable, do they ever hold themselves accountable.

  2. I saw the original video. He's trying to set them up for a race lawsuit. He did everything he could possible do to play the video. He is the aggressor here.

  3. Cops panic (like the little babies they are) at the drop of a hat. And we're supposed to "respect" them? NO, I LAUGH AT THE CLOWNS!

  4. My brothers and sisters in blue remind me of myself back when I was on NBPD and was as ignorant as hell. Yes, my ego and pride drove me to be an ass when dealing with the public, especially the public of color. When I began to learn and teach myself Constructional Law, boy did it open my eyes to the tyranny of law enforcement, the judicial system, particularly corrupt judges and prosecutors and yes, our local, State, and nation's, Legislature. I am ashamed of my part in how citizens were treated then, and to this day still having their Rights violated by our gestapo "system;" my brother and sister officers, learn now before it's too late and you yourself become the actual suspect and criminal by the gestapo, the same way my gestapo department set me up. I was innocent, but boy was I made a spectacle of! Officers, you cannot violate the law to enforce the law! Stop now, and LEARN the Rights of the citizens, when outside the badge and gun, that includes YOU! Young officers in blue, you know it, and I know it, you DO NOT know the law. You are told about the "Miranda Warning," when to use it, and how to read people their Rights, but essentially, that is all that's driven into the scope of being a police officer. Can't repeat this enough young officers, but LEARN the LAW and protect the Constitution. Do not make decisions based on your feelings and especially not the feelings of corrupt police culture that you serve!

  5. America is a police state and the rule of law means nothing when you have Judges, DA's, Police, and government like senators, governors and presidents do nothing to help the people because this is what the government wants. This kind of police accountability will never happen even though the country depends on it because otherwise its gonna get a whole lot worse for the government workers.

  6. "DO WHAT I SAY OR I WILL MURDER YOU" – police in America.
This right here is a perfect example of cops in America saying the quiet part out loud. In a nutshell policing in America is now do what I say or I will murder you. This officer is just being honest about his ego-driven contempt of cup attitude. Do what I say or I will murder you literally sums up policing all across america.

  7. The problem we have is we have to obey police orders legal or not. We have no recourse than to let them violate us and our rights today and fight them in court tomorrow.

  8. If you really think about it we the people are slaves, and the reason for me saying that is they give a command and if we the people don't do what the law enforcement says to do then we the people get punished by force and it is our freedom or our life that is taking from us, and our government is behind the law enforcement agencies 100% we the people are slaves to the government. As always love, peace and happiness for everyone.

  9. You and I would be in a bad way without police.
It's the unrighteous as**oles that ruin the reputation of what are protectors amoung us.

  10. Man I wish I had a job where I could just be an asshole to everyone and threaten to murder people with total impunity.
    Oh no wait I don't, cuz I'm not a fucking psychopath…

  11. WAKE UP AMERICA!! WE MUST STOP THIS BULL SH**. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE WE MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE DIRTY 👮 A SYSTEM USED TO MAKE 💰 FROM THE POOR. THEY DON'T TREAT RICH PEOPLE THIS WAY.
