How Brazil’s MST fights for agrarian reform while battling hunger – Everything Law and Order Blog

Hunger skyrocketed in Brazil during the tenure of former president Jair Bolsonaro. 33 million Brazilians, some 15% of the entire country, are now food insecure according to official statistics. As Brazil’s poorest were abandoned to deal with the overlapping crises of COVID-19 and inflation, the MST, or Brazil’s Landless Workers’ Movement, stepped in. With 20 million hectares of reclaimed land under their control across 1,200 municipalities, the MST possessed the necessary base of land and labor to effectively make a difference for millions of Brazilians. TRNN reports from the ground in Brazil to investigate how the largest social movement in the Americas is simultaneously eliminating hunger, seizing land for the tillers, and fighting for agrarian reform.

  1. A COMPLETE OBTRUSIVE NARRATIVE! PROPER TO INFANT MINDS. THE NUMBERS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM REALITY.
THE ELECTION IN BRAZIL WAS A FRAUD !
MST IS A POLITICAL MOVEMENT SUPPORTED Y LEFT WINGS LINKED TO COMMUNISM GOVERNMENT . A MODEL OF PRODUCE THAT HAD LEFT BILLIONS TO STARVING IN URSS IN THE PASS, AND SIRI LANKA NOW A DAYS .
THE NAZIS HAS THE SAME PARENTS OF COMMUNISM.

  2. Essas pessoas (MST) são terroristas que sabotam e destroem as estruturas de fazendas produtivas. Fazem isso por décadas, e com muita violência. Pesquisem na barra de busca sobre os atos violentos deles e vejam com os próprios olhos.

  3. “Meet the people that feed Brazil” lmao these are a bunch of fucking land invaders and the organic rice and other foods they produce are barely enough to feed a city let alone the whole country. Get your facts straight.

  4. Americans may have to form collectives at some time when we stop fighting each other because the parties and MSM divides us up into political camps while they take all the money…

  5. Capitalism is the most successful selfish system ever! All for me, none for thee is very attractive for narcissistic selfish people.

  6. I gave up listening after 2 minutes. The best way to spoil a wonderful subject is to let some ignorant specialist of video games add to the video irritating soundtrack, totally unrelated to the subject at hand . Next time, ask someone who likes the sound of Brazilian voices, or don't add any "music" at all!

  7. Please know that it is very difficult to read the white lettering under the video.
I pray their efforts are successful throughout Brazil.

  8. Good luck, IMHO the government can Not create anything good, it's life is to control the people and land. That is not living a life of Freedom, that is living the life the government wants you to live.
    Socialism has NEVER worked, anywhere.
If you think so, please tell me where and does it still exist?

  9. Well, that's a load of shit. They invade lands and say it's for the health and benefit of society. But why, then, do they get angry when the government registers the land titles to the individuals invaders? It's funny to see this outsiders perspective, because we all know somebody that has lost a plot of land to MST criminals, under the guise of social justice and "the social function of private property". Jesus, how can you be so far removed from reality?
