  1. These kids are operating an illegal business. Though you can argue they are doing "more good" then simply being beggers on the streets. Bothering people in there cars simply trying to get to there destination is annoying.

  2. are you purposefully being misleading? We all know that these kids are smashing on car windshields and have threatened (and caused violence) often. People don't just find squeegee kids as a nuisance. People are scared that by pulling up to the light on President St, that if they turn down the squeegeeing, they will get assaulted. So, honestly, how can we make people feel safe and allow these kids to earn a buck. I truly am open to it, I feel for these kids… but many of them have been violent or threatened violence and to not address that is being disingenuous. Ideally, the wealthy Bill Stromberg would provide a safe environment where they can be employed, I'd be supportive of some sort of initiative along those lines.

  3. Three 6's from the poverty pimps who create the conditions then politicize it to their own ends.
    Criminalize it = 6
    Militarize it = 6
    Monetize it= 6

  4. Yang2020 UBI is what Martin Luther King fought for before he was assassinated and what Yang is working towards now. We should abolish poverty.

  5. Both the Republicans and the Democrats profit from the working class!! There is no left wing party anymore that represents the people! They represent the multinationals, the rich and the high profit companies. Bernie Sanders isn't too far left, the Republicans and the Democrats are WAY to far to the right causing Bernie to look like an ultra left politician. On the global political spectrum Bernie is moderate left. That's how fucked up your political system is and why America has such an enormous wealth inequality. You all just fail to see it because you are taught not to question the government. It's deemed "unpatriotic".

  6. Those gangs cleaning windows is rubbish. I would hate gangs of kids rushing up to the car when you stop asking to clean your window. They just not useful.

  7. It's already bad the jails are filled up. And for example because jails full in Alaska for example. They try move the jails out of Alaska because it to full no real money to support it. Meaning no one wants no more money into jails.

  8. If I was major I would step out and tell those kids I was proud of them for taking responsibility and learning how to earn a income and learning a job skill. I would be proud that they are doing that then doing any illegal activity. The major and people in that community should be supportive.

  9. I feel like they should go with the first plan when government. And that give the kids there own food stamps and cash assistance at young age untill they are able to work.

  10. I swear as a black guy who's British 20years old. Man when I look at you guys in America I just feel sad. You're government just conjures up more ways for you to become poor and stay poor. Wealth inequality mixed with Neoliberalism as well as the fact that america was built as a republic with city states like Rome, as blacks you're fighting a lost battle. Like the video said the Mayor passes laws and regulations through a Beauracracy like come on guys this shit is insane. Dissolve the city states that's why you're race and wealth issues will keep ongoing continuously as long as the states can have their own laws y'all are never gonna win. 🤦🏾‍♂️ How can you even close a wealth gap or solve race relations when the country still operates with city states passing they own laws and such???

  11. Generational poverty = Generational mental disorders. We have many generations of children being raise by dysfunctional parents stricken with nothing and no hope. That's capitalism… we're taught that the poor are "lazy," but they're simply driven by the logical determination of the system. "F the world and F all people, including myself. My pain is too much"

  12. BS. What these kids are doing isn't sustainable or viable. They aren't even providing a useful service. Every car on the road has a window washer system. This is glorified panhandling and it's illegal, annoying and absolutely dangerous.

Allowing these kids to continue to do this is irresponsible. Everyone wants a more vibrant, safe and stable Baltimore but we also want to cater to those people and elements that dont contribute to that. We cant have it both ways.

Can you guys say "TAX DOLLARS?" Keep coddling the sgueegie kids….and watch what's gonna happen. When all of those quaint little shops and neighborhood businesses that actually contribute both economically and to the character of Baltimore are gone…….what then?

  13. How about help them get a car wash 🧼 business started! Why try to arrest these young black boy and they end of having a criminal record. Tired of the evil I’m seeing.

  14. No, just stop stealing from the originals of all the lands and taking over the all the lands and selling and renting it back to the true owners of the lands. It's guilt the rich feel, so now they want to criminalize nature.

  15. Do I have examples of abuse of the people at the hands of the wealthy? Oh yeah. I have a lot to say about that one. I've written a book about it–to be self-published soon. No kidding. Here's one (of many) stories you could cover: People who grow old and die while on Medicaid aren't allowed to leave their property to their heirs. We've heard about the so-called "death tax" which only affected extremely wealthy people. But this is actually the real death tax: When poor people die and they end up disabled, in a nursing facility and on Medicaid, the govt takes most of their savings, their estate, their home, car, etc. The family isn't allowed to inherit it. This is tragic because often poor or working class families could benefit from inheriting their parents' property but are prevented from doing so 'cause the govt wants to get its money back from paying out Medicaid.

Question is this: why did we hear so much about the "death tax" which didn't hurt anyone, just made extremely wealthy people pay a few more taxes, but we don't hear about this which can seriously harm a lot of people? Your grandmother may have saved up $10,000 for your college education, for example, but the government can just take it from you 'cause grandma went into a nursing home. In fact, I heard the govt could come after you and insist you pay back that $10,000 if your grandma gave it to you while she was in the home. Anyhow, things like this only affect the poor and working class, so we rarely hear about it. But you'd better believe that the wealthy would be the first to complain if they so much as lost one dollar from their inheritance.

Don't even get me started on the whole student loan scam where poor college students apply for financial aid and are required to take out loans to help fund their education then blamed for being "irresponsible" for taking out the loans that they're forced to take out to fund their tuition.

Gosh, I could go on and on… And on… Seems we can talk about these issues for years, but ultimately, nothing ever changes. Oh, but let's impeach Trump and wag our little fingies at Russia. Yeah, that'll solve our complex problems.

  16. Basically, there has to be a lot of regulation and control over ordinary citizens and poor people but very little regulation over the powerful ('cuz that would be govt "overreach") They keep saying they want capitalism and a "free" marketplace but no one gets the freedom to participate in capitalism except the very rich. If any of us wants to go on the street and sell a widget or offer a service like these kids are doing we can get into trouble for violating some sort of ordinance. Meanwhile, Monsanto, Walmart, etc., are free to do whatever they want and quick to complain that they're rights are being violated any time someone tries to regulate them. They want a free marketplace only when it's convenient for THEM.

This isn't about racism–the fact that the black mayor wants to go after these kids shows that. This is CLASSISM. We need to have a discussion about that 'cuz both blacks and whites are oppressed by that–in different ways maybe–but both are oppressed by classism.

  17. These kids can't hire expensive lawyers to convince the Supreme Court what they are doing is a form of protected speech..

Of course, talk among authorities about "doing something" about black boys and men surviving on the streets is very dangerous and potentially deadly. Eventually you end up with more Michael Brown"s and Eric Garner's..

  18. The kids were trying to pull themselves up by their boot straps. Poor kids. That's why it is harder for a rich man to enter into heaven than a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
