  2. Trump is not Republican and no longer a registered Democrat. He has his own party. It's called MAGA under the guise of the Republican party. We don't have definitive parties other than the Constitutional Liberatarian's.

  7. This guest may have the point. However, as the Republicans became Bushublicans, as in the case of today Trumpublicans, even if Obama had wanted to investigate into G.W. Bush's war crimes and illegal surveillance, the whole thing would have met with tremendous resistance as the Mueller investigation meeting with Trumpublicans' resistances.
    What is really the problem or even danger is the corruption in the machinery of nationhood or statehood that has eroded the mental capacity of the entire people and the imagination of the politicians as to how poor maintenance of one's mental nimbleness and ethical maxim can lead to eventual detriment of the entire nation, dragging the entire world down to doomsday circumstances over time.

  8. Obama, at the beginning of his campaign, did not espouse American exceptionalism, say that all countries had a right to feel great based on history. He did not wear the flag in his lapel. But later he was obliged to do so. Obama never persecuted the banks, or violations of international law; of course he helped pave the way for Kavanaugh. Far right sentiment is deep within our culture and it is just freeing itself from all constraints or alternatives.

You'd think that if America was a Christian and humane country, it would be working its way to removing sociopaths, sadists and narcissists from positions of power , but the Kavanaugh confirmation demonstrates the opposite is true. The sociopaths are way ahead of decent human beings, and locking down their collective domination ever tighter. Vault-Tec is running America at this point, just in time to launch World War 3.

  12. If Obama pursued charges on Bush, then the GOP would have been furious and pursued every possible investigation on Obama once they took office. Trump has flirted with these things anyway. This is not to excuse Obama; of course its fucked up that presidents won't investigate past presidents. But Dems won't care enough to put themselves at risk; they are better off, as a center of power, with this 'gentlemen's agreement' to not investigate other centers of power.

  13. I was gutted that Obama refused to go after Bush Jr and friends. Just insanely frustrating, specially when our heroes (Assange, Manning, Snowden and such) are forced out of the country or went to prison for being true patriots.

"We should look forward instead looking back" unless you are middle class and poor, in which case we will look at the crimes you done in the pass, and prosecute to the fullest extense of the laws. Obama instead of prosecuting Bush and Chaney for war crime, and the banker that committed fraud, prosecuted Manning for exposing war crime and other whistle blower for revealing things that we had the right to know.

  16. Too bad "The prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" by Vince Bugliosi was not discussed or even mentioned.

    Given that Henry Kissinger, unindicted perpetrator of crimes against humanity, is widely regarded as a senior statesman, why would we expect any of these psychopaths/sociopaths to get even a slap on the wrist?
