2. The only way to support the global south is to stimulate local economies without government getting money, which only feeds corruption and reliance on imports and giveouts. Collapsing supply chains are one example, because in my experience in pre-Chavez Venezuelan economic development, it was private businesses who would efficiently set up supply chaings, and then the government would interfere to promote central controls. IMF moneys only work when corruption can be controlled. Local businesses though, promote growth and wealth if they are allowed to do so. Microlending is a prime example of how it works, and why it is a threat to power elites.
