As Americans struggle to decide the fate of reproductive rights state by state, the U.S. government has imposed a “Gag Rule” that would remove U.S. federal funding from any country or international organization that provides abortions or even advises women that abortion is their choice

  1. American women and children have been reduced to slave status. Just like America's black slaves they will now be chased down by Republican 'dogs' pretending to be competent lawmakers. 'Freedom' for women no longer exists. America's allies are disgusted by this wiping out of women's reproductive rights. Abortion has only ever been about the money to be made by the adoption industry, that needs new stock to sell off to the highest bidders. It's infant trafficking on a large scale for profit. It was never about anything else.

  2. "certainly I think the United States has been looked to as a leader when it comes to human rights and civil rights". The Real News Network is quickly becoming the next Democracy Now. Just watch this isnt an anti imperialist and humanist outlet

  3. Please mention the truth: it is religion that is at fault for this assault on emancipation, women's rights and the equality of women and men. Religions are intrinsically misogynistic, they are patriarchal cults of male superiority. Women should listen carefully to what the preachers say, read carefully and think about what the religious texts say – the message is always anti-women. Religions are made for men by men. Women, leave "the faith" and finally be free and equal!

  4. women can only get pregnant 3 days out of the month so that means they have 27 days to be the whores they truly are without getting pregnant.

  5. I am so pleased about these laws. How legal abortions were used to target the blk community, and created an economic market on the death of our future generations.

  6. The right to choose was not about abortion. It was the right to choose when to be a parent, when to be pregnant. The fight for the choice of when to be a parent was for available birth control. Abortion was in the background and in case birth control failed. Available birth control was fought against with the same vigor as the current fight against Roe v Wade. The main target was the pill. Its use and safety was attacked. Women won that fight, the fight for the right to choose when to be a parent.

Women winning the fight for better and available birth control removed it from being a political campaign issue. Politicians then pushed abortion as the right to choose. In doing so birth control seems to have been forgotten. This includes the birth control that helps most to prevent the spread of AIDS. With the use of birth control the need for abortions would be less as intended. Take the attention off abortion and put it back on birth control. It may help protect Roe v. Wade.
