I like FN’s. I like indigenous peoples. I wish I knew more of them. I don’t like a lot of their politics. What some of them are doing is going to hurt themselves the most by being so belligerent. I find some of their beliefs about the land and reconciliation ironic with their actions. I also believe that there are a lot of FN’s people that want to work together but a few squeaky wheels are making that impossible. How can FN’s take money from Canada and then say they are a distinct sovereign nation. It is ridiculous. I would like very much for indigenous people to get their concerns dealt with. I want them to succeed and be prosperous and I want their environmental concerns addressed. Unfortunately, I think the FN’s are being manipulated by govt and environmental groups and radicals both. I say to FN’s people that you need to figure out what it is you want!? If you want to be independent nations than you cannot be Canadian.

Indian "Territories" are not OWNED by the native people. They are allowed to use the land for traditional purposes. Originally, these lands were used by natives for hunting and fishing. They are allowed to access the lands in question, in a limited capacity, and do NOT maintain ownership or full control over those lands.
