Something to keep in mind about raids is that there is VERY little difference between a regular raid, and a no-knock raid. Literally fractions of a second separate when they start screaming out "Police!" surrounded by other offices shouting out commands. Because there are so many people yelling out so many things, it can be difficult, if not impossible to make out what they are saying.
Conduct your own experiment. Have 10-20 friends agree to "assault" your home while you are asleep. Have your friends decide on a night to "raid" you without your knowing. (Obviously, you will have the benefit of at least knowing that a raid is coming SOMETIME, just not the specific date.) Then, have all your friends start to bang on walls, and shatter glass bottles (to simulate the windows breaking), and have a handful of them yell out "police" not in unison, while the rest run through the house, banging on walls and doors, while screaming out orders. Tell me if you can make out the "Police" shoutings. Not likely. Raids like this need to stop. Officers risk MORE danger from law-abiding citizens by constantly performing raids like this.
