Nationalization of health care industry may not be the greatest idea but nationalization of the manufacture of medicine might be an alternative to make cheaper pharmaceuticals. That smug a hole who recently stood in front of congress talking about his $5000 per dose cancer medication….yeah america deserves better and can do much better
Nationalizing vital industries may not be as profitable but its more secure. Secure necessary vital industries on behalf of the worker and the nation might be a good move depending on the circumstances. International corporations are the enemy of nationalism.
Nationalization is a good start to the conversation but in reality the profit motive needs to be eliminated from the fossil fuel industry and many others. And without an authentic democratic political system that is responsive to the will of the people, community control of energy production is beyond reach. There isn't much time but we need to develop new, authentically democratic institutions ensure what needs to be done to curtail the worst of climate change is done.
We have 3-4 years to completely transition from fossil fuels. The NASA Ice Cap Volume data shows a 50% loss in the last 30 years and that the Ice Caps could be gone by 2025!
Yes
nation states were born out of and born out by democratic ideals ??
Paradigm Shift! Yes, do both, ban subsidies and transition workers to new industry. Revert HR 61 that allows our fracked gas to be exported. Good for you, Democracy Collaborative!
YES
Definite yes, no more profit out of basic living needs will ensure climate change is forefront above all else..
Yes. Comrade. See your travel agent about a gulag package.
The corporations won't give up their ownership of fossil fuel production. We must take it from them, by judiciously nationalizing the industry. The Industry's Return On Investment has been enormous. They have been at the trough for long enough. "Thank them. Send them on their way. Think of what Puerto Rico accomplished in 16 days! We can do it, too. It's a matter of will and true honor. I'd be happy and proud if Tulsi Gabbard felt the same way.
!
I have a sneaking suspicion that the renewable energy transition is already delivering prices that are more competitive than fossil fools and so now they want the public purse to buy them out – nahh tax them into extinction, and make all who profited from it clean up their mess too.
It's time to END the fossil fuel industry! #SwitchToSolar #SwitchToElectric
Norway, Venezuela, and Alaska have
If it becomes Nationalized plan …..Here Is the problem ….the same problem ….Greed would just change hands , New tech , less oil , more wind and solar , clean Water , that's what maters.
watch oil companies move to either china or a tax paradise so fast. marxists only know how to destroy and everyone will be starving. the yang initiative only costs $4T a year but can only be funded to $0.8T .. so inflate by $3.2T? the marxists are not good with numbers.
Sounds like a coal company bailout, leaving taxpayers with the cost of clean up and a negative asset. While polluters get to cash out with huge a golden parachute. Just cut subsidies, let them fail on their own, and give everyone universal basic income and medicare for all to cover miners.
Why do you think that the trans atlantic aggregate is enough to fix anything…still the same wester'o'centric paradigm
I applaud you and thank you with all my heart for bringing these solid information videos!
Does it matter…the elites control the narrative…many ways of creating socialism this just makes for it to be more easily done down the road.
Provides easier access to interfere with the access to oversight, cost to consumer, etc
Gotta love propaganda!
I want her platformed everywhere spreading these great ideas.
Yes. And Wall Street.
I agree 100 % with nationalization of strategic resources, healthcare, education and housing. The transfer of money from the obscene military expenditure to the welfare of the people. You don't really need to even raise more taxes, just transfer.
That will be a win for any country .It belongs to the people not to privit companies .Venezuela use their money for social matters .That is socialism . Not taken from the wealthy to give to the poor but help everyone .this will stop wars . Why not go green ?
Yes. Long overdue.
Yes.

How is it this woman's friends, family and colleagues haven't shut her down yet? I have advocated for this for as long as I can remember but got called a pie in the sky dreamer. She has my full support. What can I do?
americans using brain power; good to know
Total bullshit.
It was time over 40 years ago.
11 years! Sorry but no ..less than that …try a couple of years to 8 years as a range ….most computer modellings are done with data on the side of caution rather than risk of running too close to current data the old plus or minus range of errors taken into account ..note changes in our ecology primary to climate change and changes to our environment are happening faster the our modelling suggests it should…food shortages and water availability and political socioeconomic crisis might change all that in a big way as when the Mike Tyson punches humanity in the face of its perfect plans …
Yes? But only in our pipe dreams the moon will turn into the most exquisite Brie cheese before that is permitted to happen….but YES but alas NEVER sigh…..meanwhile the moons is looking good right now and I’m somewhat peckish…
Dreaming. . . .
No it is time to stop public subsidies for the ff industry and let the capitalists take their financial losses. It is a dieing industry. Ford is now showing off videos of their Electric Pickup and Tesla is growing in leaps and bounds.
We simply need to regulate the end of the ff industry through the usage and growth of the renewable energy. Let the beloved free market kill ff.
That's the opposite of what the Nazis are doing in Brazil.
use fucking hemp
Yes
Yes! International Fossil Fuel corporations exploit the US Millitary and State Department as their private mercenaries, so their wealth should belong to the people.
In my view, all extractive industries should be nationalised.
So STEAL people's companies from them???
Strong YES!
Sounds like another bailout. Taking the profit motivation out of the industry would be a better start. Bleed the Beast!
I'm working on a solar installation project at a solar facility; however, they're using outsourcing corporate labor paying low wages; so it's the same capitalism B.S. what's the point of transitioning to clean energy if they are still being exploited?
Just make them and automakers liable for the 200,000 deaths of Americans every year from the combustion of hydrocarbons instead of protecting them with regulations they purposefully crafted with easy to meet standards by revolving door bureaucrats. The call for nationalizing the industry wont work, you wont get any bipartisanship on it. An approach from a property rights perspective would.
Yes.
That's what Ghaddaffi and Mossadegh wanted to do years back and look what happened to them
